Hi. When I can't buy a share I split my requests, so instead of buying one lot of £4,000 I go for two lots of £2,000. It usually works. Sorry if anyone thinks I'm teaching my grandmother to suck eggs by saying that.

Hello peeps.
Is it not the case that share buying on the four days before any Bank Holiday known as -H4, -H3, -H2 and -H1 are progressively a low volume of trades to a high volume of trades, with -H1, the day before the Bank Holiday having the highest volume? And conversely, the four days after a Bank Holiday, known as +H1, +H2, +H3 and +H4 are high volume to low volume, with +H1 being the highest volume?
I suppose it's the same 'fear of' social phenomenon as shoppers who empty shelves in food shops at Xmas, even though the shops are only closed for one day. It might explain why the shares seem sluggish today, with the exception of a few.
Still, my fingers diligently managed a top-up while I am waiting for the next bit of GGP news.

Sit up and watch, drinkers:))
I love this board on a Friday. It goes from quiet to nice to feisty, all in one thread.
@ Redirons, Golly gosh, thank you for including me in such hallowed company. Wow.
ATB:)
PS: Does this mean I have to grow up now and only make serious posts? No more jokes?
Anyone remember this?
I have a secret
I mustn't tell
I was born in a winkle shell
The winkle shell was made of glass
I fell out and cut my ...
Ask no questions tell no lies
I saw a policeman doing up his
flies are a nuisance
Bees are worse
This is the end of my little verse.
Winkle is pronounced 'winknall' - London/Essex. That would be about 1968. I'm telling you, we had a whole other sort of childhood - no computers!

Sooo, I just ordered my Bed & Isa, and I rather cheekily reminded ii about Friday and Monday (just in case they didn't realise), although I expect a lot of them have holidays booked around it.
Bye for now,
Jet
Thanks for the confirmation on the 22nd date, Indeep. The transfers section on trading account is for between trading accounts or ISA to trading ac. I tend to agree with TomE. Better control is retained by selling and buying back in the ISA. Bit of a risk with the time lag for settlement but hey ho, stress keeps the old ticker going, doesn't it? LOL.
Hi all, I've been messaging ii as they have a Bed & Isa page but it doesn't contain any link so I can send them details of the shares I want transferred. They keep referring me back to the page. If I don't find it soon I'll just list the shares I want transferred and ask them to do it. I read somewhere that the deadline for doing B&Is is 22nd March, which I can't comprehend as I thought it would be on/after 5th April.
I take it when a B&S is done, the new share price is the one at the time of the transfer and I can't keep my existing share price? Annoy - ing if that's the case.
Hi Bamps, you said: "Tongue in cheek :-
If Apollo proves up ok will NCM/GGP extend the Decline tunnel in the future to extract its minerals with a jv with Artemis.
Might sound daft but there will be tunnels heading towards the NW end of Havieron to probably stope the NW crescent.
Could also be true for Artemis other targets around the boundary:))"
On 31 Oct I posted: "If you look in the Artemis report at Figure 5 on page 9, they have placed what I imagine are the drill holes of Apollo and Enterprise W in Artemis territory but the surrounding Apollo and Enterprise W sites are clearly over the boundaries between them and GGP."
When Anne Lister, (Gentleman Jack), was mining coal in the 1830s from her Shibden Hall Estate, Yorkshire, her adjoining landowner {Christopher Rawson of Rawson's Bank } was mining on and across Shibden’s boundary, stealing Shibden's coal from a successful seam under Lister's land called Walker’s Pit. Rawson tried to purchase the land to cover up his wrongdoings [after he'd been found out], and Lister included the price for the appropriated coal in the deal. [Just for info, Rawson’s Bank became Halifax & Huddersfield Union Banking Co, was taken over by the West Yorkshire Bank, which was swallowed by Lloyds. [Bankers, hey?]
Now, while I don’t think such unpleasantries of accidentally linked tunnels would take place in Oz today, I think a JV is feasible but just how much willingness would there be for the calculation and execution of a 3-way JV from Arv, GGP and Newcrest, I wonder?
ATB:)
I can't concentrate today. Has anyone seen this? Sorry if it's 'old news'.
