Well I like the RNS. On a brief read, they've included Tama and they are widening their drilling area and they have mentioned the wider regional area, including a small company called Rio. Instead of Architeuthis, giant squid, they could have gone for Big Bertha, the Kraken's Sword meaning, although Big Bertha is also a giant octopus which would have been apt, given the outreaching tentacles this giant system is proving to have.
If the SP drops because of impatient traders leaving us, I'll be topping up. Win-Win.

Yep, I couldn't care less either, Paddy and Peeps.
I tried three times to sell just enough GGP shares to pay off my mortg --- sorry, car loan [hee hee]. I cancelled the first two attempts cos it just didn't feel right. But then I went through with it - and it feels so alien to me I thought I'd celebrate by having a bag of jelly beans. But WHO puts ANISEED in jelly beans??? UGGH. Still, I've been piling into GGP over the last few weeks so my share count is actually up, despite my (Uggh Liquorice! I'm never buying these again! Gourmet jelly beans, my foot!]
Anyway, go on then - the share price will finish on whatever it was this morning.
I'll be raising a glass tomorrow and I hope everybody enjoys Sunday.

Hi RTC, Speedy, On the subject of 'what's the best currency?', I did laugh when I saw an edict by HSBC banning any more of their customers putting crypto currencies in their ISAs. Paraphrasing HSBC, 'our customers can hold or sell their cryptocurrencies but, from now on, not buy'. LOL
I popped in much earlier today. You were all arguing, so I went away, sold 3 shares, bought 3 shares, topped up GGP, came back here and you're STILL all arguing!
Yaay, Go Brits! Fight, fight, fight.
Seriously though, shut up arguing.
Going for breakfast.

Oh, cheer up, TT, do. I'm sure that for every 1 person who might take Zoros for granted, there are many more who appreciate him, me included.
Zoros, I was only earlier today looking forwards to the next NCM results, so I'm really grateful to have you post all the upcoming events.
Thank you,

The total amount you can save in ISAs in the current tax year is £20,000. This is known as the ISA allowance. You can only put money into one cash ISA and/or one stocks and shares ISA and/or one lifetime ISA and/or one innovative finance ISA in each tax year.
Ask your bank/building society. We are not allowed to give financial advice.

Hi Peeps. I haven't sold but I have been cheating on GGP. I now have in my portfolio every mineral known to mankind, plus one that I thought only existed in Star Trek Enterprise as a vault liner in the 23rd Century, ie Tantalum (tantalite). And I now have diamonds [don't know if they are pink] so now all I need is a train:))
I did manage to make six GGP top-ups yesterday - all quite small [yes, I know, define 'small'] but really, quite small, as it was the only way I could get in under the radar!
Now I have nothing to do except wait. [Sound of the wind and tumbleweed.]
Ok, that's enough waiting. I'm off to do something else:)))
Bye

Oh yes, when's our next thingy? Is it 29th April, NCM Results?
Umm, so people physically march up to banks' doors and demand their gold, starting a run on each bank which causes the banks to close their doors, bankrupt.
Here's an interesting short read about the origin of the word bankruptcy - 'broken bench'.

Impecunious, Prince Philip didn't start his life from a privileged position.
Prince Philip's parents were Prince Andrew of Greece and Princess Alice of Battenberg. His father was exiled from Greece and his uncle, King Constantine I, was forced to abdicate. George VI sent a navy warship to pick up their family, with Philip carried onboard as a baby in an orange box. They took with them no money and only the clothes they were wearing.
When Prince Philip was very young, his father ran away with a mistress. His mother was in a sanatorium for five years. He didn't see either of them for years. His sisters married men who were Nazi party members in Germany. With neither parent present for years, Philip was sent between boarding schools and numerous relatives. His eldest sister, Cecile, to whom he was closest, but who remained in Germany, died in a plane crash with her husband and children. During World War II Prince Philip was on active duty in the British Navy. He was in the thick of the action in the Mediterranean as an officer on board the HMS Valiant during the battle of Crete, and on the Indian Ocean.
Prince Philip was a war hero and a courageous, honourable man. His whole life was about unwavering service, to this country, to his children, and overwhelmingly to his wife, her HM the Queen.

Thank you Bamps, for posting such a fascinating document. Now I know my winzes and adits from my mullocks. I love old historical documents and this doc really brings the Golden Mara to life. It seems as though they were classed as an essential occupation as they were able to obtain £1,000 [a huge sum, about £115,000 today?] from the Aus Gov and mining continued throughout the First World War.
