It really is a must watch video for any investor frankly - explains in very understandable detail just what is happening and moreover likely to happen with gold, silver, fiat currencies and specifically the dollar and very interestingly gives very powerful arguments as to why bitcoin will not rival gold as a future backing for a currency. Don't be put off by the length of the video - watch in junks if you have to - but I do urge everyone to watch.

A few large sells can also give confidence around liquidity and therefore conversely support demand

I also get the feeling Boldicus that the vast majority of shares are in a relatively small number of hands and those hands are very sticky. So to my way of thinking we will have a lot of new fish in an evaporating pond and in the not too distant future.

Chasbrown - you mentioned the psychological 2p amount and I understand why - I think that given the right momentum (I love to keep using that word as does the company) that once 2p is broken it will move forward very quickly through the 3's. Once the herd arrives, an increasing market capitalisation can quickly snow ball in the right circumstances.

I think we need to start thinking in terms of heading towards 3 /4 p - I know that sounds like a big leap but look at the chart history and the market capitalisation versus potential and most importantly the relatively short timeline in mining terms to monetisation. Add in the strength and likely direction of gold and silver and we really do have the ideal platform for potential multi bags from this point in my view.

Red Kite - the miners have yet to start to catch up with the gold movement and of course GCAT would be towards the bottom of the miners heap with sentiment at the moment. BUT - with this funding news, a strategic plan executed by a large independent mining outfit, then when the Caracal ship starts to turnaround, we will be ideally placed to ride the coming Gold surge. I'm looking forward to the big reveal. Frankly at this point it will be hardly worth reading the audit when it appears - the only thing it will signal to my way of thinking is the end of the suspension.

Good to see the majority of posts see the potential here - some of the previous bashers are very notable by their absence at the moment.

Hi LR - with respect it doesn't work that way - the audit is up to a set date and PKF can't hold back releasing the audit in anticipation of news beyond that date. I am expecting huge caveats by PKF in terms of ongoing viability due to being under capitalised - nothing that we don't know. I guess given the news the might add an addendum / foot note acknowledging the deal in progress but I highly doubt it personally. I personally think now that a short gap between the funding news and the audit being released is actually not a bad thing - it allows people the time to digest and fully understand the benefits of what has just been announced and might be more circumspect on their actions upon the suspension being lifted.

Agreed the RNS needs to be out first - gives us an interesting lead up to Thursday.

The last substantive comment in Kochang was Hune 12th and legal drafting underway. That would imply that the high level agreement has already taken place and being translated into a legal document. This is the sort of activity that can be reasonably estimated in timelines between lawyers and any company meetings required to ratify etc. That would justify the level of confidence in the outcome as articulated by the company and one summises the reason that Aidan is underlining looking forward to delivering the forthcoming presentation.

I see Caracal have been tweeting this afternoon - stating they have signed the HOT - beyond question now. They also make the point that this investment will allow them to complete the expansion - that's also welcome clarification from my point of view.

It gets really interesting when you consider UBS are forecasting gold to be $2600 by the end of 2024 and $2700 by June 2025 - entirely feasible forecasts. Now that we can have sensible conversations about GCAT and future production I will start to share more on what I am reading about gold - scary stuff but good for GCAT.

Agreed - one of the positives here is that there are relatively few shares out there. When investors buy and hold there are even less. Simple supply and demand with the backdrop of exciting projects and rising POG.
