I agree with you take on this Tiburn. This is like a poker game at the moment, with each drill assessment another card is turned. There is going to be imo a tipping point when a major attempts to bring the games to a close but ultimately it is of course the view of the BOD as to whether the pot is big enough. So ends my analogy for the day and not being a gambler other than my AIM investments i might have got that wrong!

How do investors feel about the digitilisation strategy and future use of AI ? Is this an inevitability driven by technology capability of do people want to deal face to face with people? Maybe a generational issue?

Brexit, GE and now the U.S. Mid terms. You would have thought with recent press insights into changes going on within LBG that we could focus on where this company is going.....

For those hoping to attend the dress code is smart casual or business casual given the venue rules. I would hate for anyone to be turned away because they were wearing jeans after making the effort to attend!

Boring used to be a virtue with Banking shares and on many levels still should be. The impact of digitilisation will make this share anything but though over the next 3 to 5 years. The outcome however will be an enviable cost income ratio that will support the dividend growth aspiration.

AHO ....not AOH

I really do not think you realize how the actions of Mr Brown and Mr Daniels et al took this Group to the brink when they took over HBOS. AOH inherited a portfolio of terrible lending from HBOS and of course the PPI issue. Public confidence in the global banking industry was at an all time low and anyone who understands banking understands that Banks are built on a foundation of trust. AOH has done an incredible job turning Lloyds into a UK centric bank and has been on a mission to: 1. Strengthen the reputation and image in the eyes of customers and the industry. 2. Strengthen the balance sheet with George Culmers guidance to withstand future stress events. 3.Put this goliath on a path of digitilisation to meet current and future customer demands for delivery channels.
So when you consider the challenges and journey and the progress that he has made i think he has done a great job personally. This Bank has all the makings of a future cash cow and darling of the pension funds once again but Brexitvand impact on the UK financial sector remains a significant hurdle to cross.

Suspect there are 3 camps reading and adding to these comments at the moment. First waiting for the oil to flow and do not want to risk trading in the meantime. Second considering selling to buy lower....which may be self fulfil!ing action. Third waiting in the wings to ingest hoping price will call to placement. If that is correct and in the absence of flow rate news downward pressure seems most likely. Personally I am in timestamp and I am not concerned with any placing.....I am playing the long game here.

To remove your stop loss. Doesn't take a genius to see what is coming and when the RNS is released giving flow figures we expect this will be a very distant memory. Still fascinated about BD opportunity....

Time will tell whether this placing was a master stroke. I will give the BoD the benefit of the doubt at this stage and look forward to hearing how this money will be spent alongside day to day costs.
