The potential upside is massive as you say....in fact if they have what they think they have for fighting flu this will be of world importance. News will drop in the next few months and if as we hoped this will bag several times over imo. s ATB
The amount of share in II's hands must stand at well over 80% now, with Invesco / Woodford / IP2IPO & Lansdowne. I am amazed that more PI's are folllowing the professionals at this stage but then again the herd mentality of the day traders trying to make their 10% is a constant source of lessons in human behaviour. I can't help but think that the next 2 months are going to be transformational for this share. ATB
Extension of two previously identified large zones of gold mineralisation, including the Western Zone which has been extended to a strike length of approximately 6.2km and remains open to the north, and the Eastern Zone with an extended strike length of approximately 2.5km;
& Broad zones of consistently anomalous gold were apparent in many holes for up to 40m metres;
Best to quote all if you are quoting anything imo. This is not over yet - just on hold until the wider updates are known.
from the RNS ... EG is not a dead duck and GH is quoted as being pleased with the results - no mention of this being a non starter. As with any good businessman with more than one iron in the fire, he is going to wait and see which one is the one to attempt to monetarise first based on outcomes from Havieron and Black Hills. He can come back for the smaller pickings (whichever they maybe) when the war chest is full.Makes absolute sense to me. ATB
From what i have read, historically there is not a direct correlation between price of gold in the market and acquisition cost - the latter being more influenced by quality of the gold and ease of extraction. If you consider it from a miners perspective, these are 20 / 30 year projects in the main and the fluctuations today have little relevance to their forward looking view. ATB
Woodford Patient Capital got recognition in the weekend press on the value of one of it's holdings - lets hope the next time it happens it's on the back of Hvivo news! ATB - exciting times.
Great posts Tiburn. Interestingly if you read Newcrest's market release dated 9th August it references Telfer and the latest life of mine plan show this to be a deteriorating asset - what a better fit than starting to transfer infrastructure and skills 40km down the road.....? http://www.newcrest.com.au/media/market_releases/2018/Market_Release_09_08_2018.pdf
Leas. I think that the day traders are controlling SP movement at the moment. MM,s are making a market to trade. The II,s are holding and are just helping to restrict supply but MM,s still want to make money. ATB
Excellent post Tiburn - I share your views. Patience is what we need to apply from an investors perspective and let the BoD at GGP do the rest - in my view they have not put a foot wrong yet. ATB
Whilst no one wants to be losing money, there really are only a few simple decisions to make with this and most AIM shares: 1. Do you believe in the long term prospect for this company? 2. Are you willing to forget about your money for the next 2 years? 3. Do you think that you can beat the market in the daily fluctuations and are prepared to lose money trying?
If you have answered: No to 1 and 2 and 3 then why are you even reading this? Yes to 1, 2 and 3 - good luck to you - crack on with whatever you are doing Yes to 1 and 2 and no to 3 - invest what you can afford to lose and check back here weekly or monthly if you don't like the stress of SP movement or the quality of discussion which can vary greatly No to 1 and 2 but yes to 3 - you can make money here if you are lucky over the coming months until discussions are entered into with a major and then be careful - big fluctuations followed by a huge surge if and when a deal is struck. Think that covers most of the main obvious options from my perspective at the moment but I only mention them because of people's reactions to SP fluctuations at the moment - these movements are almost predictable but not enough for me to try trading it - but that is my laziness / lack of luck i suspect! We are currently in the plate spinning stage of exploration to use an old circus analogy and the BoD are doing a great job in keeping them all going and adding the excitement along the way - but it does seem that sentiment is very fickle currently with this share and like the plate spinning audience, investors quickly get bored and want more and more plates added - but returning to investing fundamentals and all RNS's out to date, there is no underlying reason for the fluctuations other than' that is AIM for you' - too much volatility driven by day traders. Don't be surprised at the movement of the SP over the next few days - up or down - i will be watching with interest but my eye is fixed firmly on the horizon - that is when we will get some sense and normality into the pitcure when a major shows their colours - until then a traders dream if you have those skills which I do not. GLA
Another great RNS - slowly but surely GH and CB are proving u the resources that we believe are there - I don't believe that this alone will be worthy of 're-rate' but it does help to raise the profile of the share and there will be a tipping point when this will seriously re-rate in my opinion and when it does.....that point i believe will be when there is an official RNS relating to discussions with a major and then watch this blow....I hope I am wrong in thinking this is several months away yet. I continue to be very happy sitting on my investment here even though i am currently under water - i have a strong belief that GGP has all the potential to become a small cap in the next 2 years if not sooner! GLA
This happens so often in AIM shares that it is almost predictable and why PI's many trade which magnifies the drop / movement. In my view if you are invested and like me believe the in potential and you don't like the risk of trading, then stop watching the intraday / intra week movements. Investing in equities is medium to long term unless you are a lucky trader - i am not one of those PI's unfortunately GL and wait for the really big news which might be months away yet.
They really are superb results - with the shine then off by the PPI claims - just where are these coming from after all these years? I can't help but wonder whether different claims companies are providing customers with a second bite of the apple here. Apart from that observation, I have every confidence in AOH and the BoD to deliver on their promises with the only question mark in may mind now being BREXIT on this UK centric Bank - get that out of the way and their dividend strategy and once again this could be the darling of the pension funds.
