I don't see what the number of shares has to do with anything joebop - it only impacts the SP as far as the market gives an underlying value to the company and the mc is a straight forward calculation of number in issue multiplied by share price.
As regards SOLG i have heard about their success but have never delved into their financials as i am not invested there and this is a GGP Board ....but I did just have a look and their financials are very different - for example look at the cash they are holding. Frankly I know nothing other than I am gleaning here about mineral and gold mining but I suspect grades on their own means nothing without amount / cost of extraction and the underlying deal made with a major to fund the extraction.
Very happy to be educated as I am continued to be on a daily basis from a number of excellent posters on this BB.

Loving the positivity but for context of some figures quoted:
As at today we have an mc of £77.2M
With an SP of 14p we would have a mc of £451M
36p = £1.161B
By way of context Newcrest on of the top 10 gold producers in the world has a mc of £33B supported by revenue in 2018 of £2.7B.
If we pro-rated market capital to revenue and then looked at what would underpin a 36p SP (again all being equal with a straight read across of cost/income ratios etc etc which i know is flawed in the extreme) then I calculate this to be £96M obviously which like NP and Div ratios etc.
So the question is based on my fag packet figures, is this possible with Haverion? I am a firm GGP supporter and if a number of our ships come in from the many irons we have in the fire I could see this happening and more in time but I am struggling to reconcile the maths in the short term but maybe that is my inner scepticism holding me back.
Thoughts and observations welcome as always but can i end by saying - what a cracking week it has been!

Bandit1 - agreed - he would not knowingly allow inside trading - it would be the last thing GH would wish to be accused of when he wants a major to come knocking - they will want to see the highest levels of integrity and compliance from any potential junior partner imo.

The timing of the options announcement is telling i believe in the BoD confidence in the forthcoming test and their anticipation of market reaction. That said they have nothing to lose as these are of course options.

I understand the desire to want to move quickly forward but I am learning that drug development and speed does not go hand in hand. Our time will come here!

I think the cost of taking this to market is an interesting but largely unimportant issue at present. All drugs cost a lot to monetize and there is a significant range from what I can see depending on the type of drug involved. I think that the next trial stage will need a major to be involved either alone or a jv as they have the deep pockets to fund. So suggest we do not get hung up as to the amount under question as this will be factored in to the deal a major will broker.there

HI Grailor - I have been thinking about your comment about the NDA - I am struggling to follow the logic of entering into an NDA when this would be attractive to a number of the majors and there could be a bidding war. The publication of material gives further independent credence to the results today and make any bid that more justifiable in the eyes of majors shareholders - that was my thinking. The more i think about it and the decision to close the R&D facility I think that the BoD are setting this up for an outright acquisition which could be more attractive to a major rather than having a junior JV partner in the mix. Let's see!

My other observation is that the company are focusing on monetizing their existing development and not spending on new research. This is covered in the cost savings announced within the interim results. It appears to me that they are tidying up the house, ready for the estate agent photos and the sale board goes up outside....in this analogy the publications are the photos. Management are following the right path because they know the rewards at the end of the journey and do not want to waste money on new avenues in the meantime.

Every chance imo moniman. Our current mc is sterling 27M. Your price would bring to 182M. This year Shire was purchased for 46 Billion.....a rare desease specialist......flu is not rare and consider a doomsday Spanish flu pandemic scenario. If we have a possible answer to a threat of that magnitude talk of 3,4,5 pound per share looks very realistic. The issue is timescales which are long...look at the journey so far! These are not a good fit with the short term mindset of the majority of AIM get rich quick investors. Patience will bring huge rewards here imo.
