Is like oxygen for traders. I think that the Newcrest deal has adversely impacted the traders in the short term as I think the effect has been to pour oil on turbulent water to a degree. So as traders chase the next rainbow it is natural that the sp drops. Not an issue for investors who see the movement for what it is. Not to say that we will not see increases in the next news outlining the next campaign but the next re rate will occur on positive news from Newcrest unless another deal comes left of field.
I am delighted with recent progress. This is moving forward quicker than I could have dreamed of. I had given the company another drill season to attract a major so already ahead of my expectations.

Hi TomE. I think we need to recalibrate our attitude to timelines. I understand the window of opportunity due to the heat but the BoD are on a very deliberate mission to prove up potential tier 1 targets and they will want to use their war chest wisely. In terms of the Newcrest deal I am sure that discussions will have been going on for some time but I think they learned a big lesson from Newmont walking away and have to proceed on the basis that a deal is never done until the contract is signed. I
The timings of events over the next 18 months is going to be crucial. We want Newcrest to prove up Haverion asap, bringing us closer to monetisation and therefore improving our SP and making it easier for us to raise further money for less dilution in the medium term unless of course we can repeat the Newcrest deal. As you can see I think in terms of years rather than weeks but that is because I invest rather than trade....I am useless at the latter!

For what it is worth, imo the Newcrest deal came left of field earlier than the BoD expected and they are now reprioritising. Takes time to plan a new drill operation I would imagine. I am expecting an update on the next 2 to 3 weeks.

Lovely RNS today which is just another way of saying to the market that we have a great team and they are here for the journey. I look forward to Newcrests quarterly update next month. I expect them to hit this hard and quick.The capital outlay is insignificant compared to their own investors response to we hope, positive further drill results. Any company worth their salt will want to establish a clear strategic direction a couple of years prior to the Telfer wind up or risk losing key personnel.
I can not help but reflect on the speed of the farm in. Within 6 weeks we turn from 2 drills booked to a farm in. Goes to show news can drop at any time!
Love this company and I once again reaffirm my personnel commitment to maintaining at least 25% of my investment lasting the 10 year term!

I can not help but liken the relationship between the SP movement and news being released to a Shakespearean play with a sub plot where there is a tenuous connection....and sometimes here it feels like that is only the company name!
The potential over the next decade and longer for GGP if it does not get brought out in full is staggering. CB is proving to truly have the Midas touch with his ability to identify prospects and GH is the money man and deal maker. Add in CL for his experience and connections with the majors and we have a tight team covering the key skills and a host of licenses to play with.
This remains a traders share at the moment but there is a steadily increasing number of us with the patience to hold and wait for the full story to unfold. The next chapters for me are the the next drill strategy now that Haverion is under Newcrest management and when are we going to get the next notification of a new institutional investor?

If it does BDU it will only create an even more amazing opportunity to buy for the long term than already exists. I am struggling to imagine where we could be in 12 months time. The permutations are endless.

Hi Timid. I think Telfer uses sub level caving which I think is different to block caving but I am no expert.

The more I read about Newcrest the more I realise that this farm in is a match made in heaven with their particular skills in bulk cave mining methods.
I agree with previous posters about timeframes for production. No brainer for me that this will start to be income generating by 2023 and of course Haverion is just the start. GGP now have a seat at the high rollers table and whilst they don,t have the chips at the moment they certainly have one hell of a hand!

You need to think big. Do you want to be the Levi Roots who continues to make sauce in your kitchen or make a deal with a major and become a multi millionaire in short time? This deal has truly put GGP on the map and other majors will be lining up to be the one that makes the next deal.

I am very interested to see what impact the news will have on institutional investor involvement now a deal has been signed with a major. Current SP is a steal for investors who think in terms of years. In fact it is a steal no matter what your time frame is this morning!!
