Gold prices highly likely to rise to new heights as the year progresses. The question here is what news with the funding and how much of a delay will Cover-19 create on re-starting production? Positive answers to these questions will see a marked leap forward in the SP imo.

GH and the BoD are good but they can not control world stock markets.
They can and are controlling a tight cost controlled company with an abundance of amazing potential targets and they are funded - cash in the Bank for their plans.
GGP has a well funded Farm In partner going hell for leather to prove up what we believe will be a tier one resource in Haverion.
Unless you want to try and trade this share and call the bottom I suggest that intraday movements at this time will make the strongest investor jittery. I haven't looked much today and don't intend to look too much over the coming weeks given I have no intention of selling in the short term. I look forward to the next RNS update or report from Newcrest and in the meantime concentrating on making sure that family and friends are ok through whatever is headed our way on the virus front.

It irritates me when people are selective. Context is everything.

on my portfolio.....huge potential and now is the time that this company moves forward - their services are only going to be in more demand in the future - Covid 19 will not be the last or the worst pandemic unfortunately and companies like ours have the potential to save many lives.

Ladies and gentlemen
Lots of valid debate about the things that are not in GGP's control such as coronavirus impacts but just wondering whether there were any observations on positioning a future MRE in terms of the Farm In agreement and timings of potential discussions for the 5% (or more) purchase?
The huge positives for me at the moment in the light of the current financial market turmoil are:
1. GGP has cash in the Bank for it's exploration programme - that can not be removed - the only potential impact of Coronavirus is potential delay IF the virus hits the drillers
2. We all know that Newcrest are ploughing through the Haverion programme as quickly as they can for their own benefit - as a flying /out operation they are better placed than most to take precautions against the virus but by no means guranteed.

Lots of talk around the MRE which is obviously an important milestone and one which has been highlighted as hopefully coming sooner now rather than later - all positive and welcome news. I have been trying to understand however where this milestone features on the project lifecycle and implications for any potential deal. I have also been considering alongside details of our Farm In RNS (12/3/20). I have no conclusions as I am no expert but others on here might be able to put into context.
I am assuming given the locality that Haverion is subject to The Australasian Code for Reporting of Exploration Results, Mineral Resources and Ore Reserves (‘the JORC Code’) is a professional code of practice that sets minimum standards for Public Reporting of minerals Exploration Results, Mineral Resources and Ore Reserves. Pages 26 onwards are interesting in terms of reporting definitions and criteria.
Turn to the Farm In agreement and take note of the Pre-Feasibility and Feasibility milestones linked to Newcrest expenditure. There is a reason that these have been written into the agreement - to protect both companies and give an understanding of the steps to helping to determine value.
You then have the consideration of moving the project though the value chain of estimate /inferred resource to proven reserves and what are he tipping points in terms of studies that tips us from resource dot reserves?
So we have a Farm In agreement that commits Newcrest to taking us along the value chain and if I were on the GGP BoD I would be looking for them to spend every dollar - it adds to the end value.
So whilst there is a focus and growing expectation on the BB on delivery of the MRE it would be good to open the debate at a more granular level of mining development / JORC steps which is something that both Companies will be looking to in justifying any deal with their internal governance rules.
Thoughts as a distraction to today's market drops?

Good job we are LTH's and again useful potential opportunities to buy lower. Hopefully new entrants yesterday will have followed at least one of the cardinal rules about giving themselves time - it will all come good - better than good!

JE. Consider the potential we have in the Patterson region. We could have not one but several Haverion deposits out there. How would anyone out a value on the licences at this stage? Do you really think that GH is going to recommend a sale at this point? This journey is in its infancy. Yes we have some amazing results in Haverion but this is just the start. I take it you want to cash in and run now? Not me and I would put money on it not GH either!

JE with respect large corporate do not work on that basis. Accountants would be all over these figures and any offer is based on granular detail which has to be presented to shzreholders. It just does work on the basis you are suggesting i,m afraid.

JE. And just how do they arrive at a figure for the company? How do they justify to their shareholders? How do they justify to us? Not sure i it is simple at all but maybe I am missing something?

JE. Can you just explain to me how a buyout will happen please. You keep saying this but there are events and agreements that would have to take place to satisfy the share holders and adhere to AIM rules. Can you elaborate on your thoughts please?
