If someone held these warrants, it is because they also have a holding in the shares (or did). With 18 months of theta left in the warrant, these warrants have real value as the delta wont be 1 (despite being so itm) because of the theta.
So the holder may well sell some of the shares they own, to hedge out the warrants, but they should never exercise their warrants till the last day (unless they have sold all their shareholding and want out completely). But these HNW individuals werent in it for a quick turn. And if they were they should find some bank who would buy the warrants off them, rather than exercise them.

Don’t think they have their own drillers, but they do have some serious kit that can analyse the core as it comes out. They also have 90 people at the hav camp that must serve dinner and clean the loos etc etc, besides drilling holes.

If memory serves me they shot up before the initial mre. They have had two mre’s now and we are waiting on 3rd.
They now have 12myn tons of copper, 25myn ozs au and a load of silver. I think these numbers went up by just under double from first mre. It’s been a while now and have spent more time on ggp than solgold recently as better risk/reward imho, so don’t assume 100% accurate!!

Stuart, the Solgold issues are generally quite different with not many real comparisons to GGP. I hold a substantial amount of both!
With Solgold they have had some country specific problems. Firstly a group of indigenous artisanal miners tried to block the mining by western mining companies by going to the constitutional court. This was eventually thrown out but not before it killed sentiment in the stock. Secondly we then had the rioting by students and various leftist and XR groups complaining about the withdrawal of the fuel subsidies. This subsidy withdrawal was reversed but again hit sentiment.
Thirdly Solgold have this barking mad (imho) idea of being a major mining house and want to develop the deposit themselves. So they have to raise a shedload of money which they are trying to do w/o resorting to equity finance at these depressed levels.
So everything has really gone against them in 2019. The one bright light is that they have a ridiculously large find in Alpala and 12 other prospects that could yield similar discoveries.

Some of this will ring bells with GGP sh, and might worry those who think its easy to develop a mine when you dont have any cash.....

Well just to play devils advocate, this is how.
GGP and NC mutually agree to cancel the farm in deal. NC then divulge all their known information about the drilling, results and technical work, to GGP and the mkt. Then the two companies agree a merger document and, one assumes, GH gets today, his valuation of tomorrows sp.
If he was bonkers enough to do that, I just hope its a very high price.

Cookie, if you are so certain of this can you explain how NC will get round the insider laws, or perhaps you think will be an agreed deal? Ie, not hostile.

$140 per oz in the ground was good back then. Au price is now much higher, Aussie assets trade at a premium and the telfer location all make hav something more valuable. But the structure of the deposit will have big influence on the value and I don’t know what marl had not what hav has.

Stuart your analysis is spot on imho. GH at the agm didn’t sound at all bothered by a t/o from NC, or any other company for that matter. Two months out of date now but I expect that still holds. In 9 months time? Who knows

Hi Stuart. I wonder just how much time gervaise and sandeep spend thinking about the words they use. Era, renew, transformational etc all very descriptive and maybe we get the dictionary out a bit too often. They aren’t politicians who spend a lot of time on the subliminal message. But maybe I am wrong and they are asking us to read between the lines.
GH did say at the agm that he was running out of superlatives and was left with ‘this is effing huge’ as the last option!

WRT those that promote moving to the main listing on lse, its not so easy. I met with the Solgold management about 15 months ago and they were very undecided whether their move was a good one, or whether it had any benefits at all.
Firstly it’s more expensive and more onerous in terms of compliance. Secondly they will only get a standard listing as they have no income. A standard listing doesn’t allow any companies to be included in any indices. Thirdly there aren’t many instos that can invest in standard listed companies vs premium listed companies. Fourthly we will have to pay stamp!
There may be more instos that can invest in aim companies. So it’s not the obvious decision that I thought a couple of years ago.
Re the rugby, I was very disappointed in Ireland paddy. I really didn’t like the diving, complaining to the ref and general football type behaviour. Rugby used to be so much better than that, but maybe I am too old school and old....

There was something to this effect said at the agm. Block caves are typically 500m high and the current thinking/technology is for two caves. I don’t know why this was said but nobody questioned it as I suspect everyone was delighted to be thinking of two!

Earthling I think we will have many hundreds of millions more shares if we were to find all the gold envisaged in our licences to get us to £2! So probably £10-12 billion mkt cap.
So not far short of newcrest themselves. Ridiculous. Sadly.
