I think in Oz they impute a value for the options and tax is paid on the imputed value and this changes year to year. I don’t think this happens in UK until warrants are exercised and then shares sold to create a cap gain.
I am no tax accountant but that’s my understanding.

The sp has spent a bit of time at this 3.5/4 level. This is roughly double where we spent an age last year. As many seem to be obsessed by ‘baggers’ I wonder whether it’s no coincidence we struggle at the first bagger hurdle.

With 18 months to go, the only reason to exercise early would be cos you wanted to sell, but it still makes no financial sense to do so.
I am no rocket scientist on option theory, but I worked with a few who were. They would be looking to take advantage of such daft behaviour!!!!

Schlemiel, most if not all warrants are owned by existing substantial sh. So if they weren’t so positive on the stock they should sell their shares but keep the options for their .....optionality! Only if they hated the future should they get rid of the warrants, but they would get more money if they sold options against the warrants rather than exercise early. No sane person would exercise early as they would be throwing free money away.
