It might be too difficult for NC to agree a price for the 5%, but GH will need this or some other cash to fund the development of the rest of Hav. So they might find it easier to agree a figure for the whole company.
Alternatively they construct a deal whereby they do agree a price for the 5% at a stage when GGP have completed their 2020 drilling programme, but they havent had to fund any significant development costs. And they attach to that deal a more generous (to GGP) farm in deal for other areas that hopefully have some successful/interesting results.
If the Au price remains at or higher than US$1600 then each will have something the other wants. NC will have cash and GGP will have great land ;-)

The press just report the gross number of infections but in reality a huge number of those have already recovered. What I would like reported is the net number ie new infections minus recoveries. That would give us a better understanding of the problem. I think the number in China is probably negative now.

I think that GH didn’t think that GGP would be around much longer (1-2yrs) at the agm. But as things have got a lot more exciting and better and more complicated, maybe he is revising his estimates so as to capture the full potential?

So China getting back to normal. Western economies will cope well, but if this gets a hold in Africa and latam, well that might be different.

Interesting how the press affect the general mood. This is a highly contagious flu bug, though it isnt any more deadly than many others. Flu bugs tend not to last into the warmer months. And how much money do you think the pharma industry is spending on r&d into this?
But dont let the truth get in the way of a good story. Journalists have no shame. I wouldnt want to own shares in travel and hospitality but eventually life will go on and many closed factories will be running 24/7 to catch up. I have heard that a lot of China has been returning to work this week.
I suspect that it wont be long when the number of those recovering from the virus exceeds those that are catching it. But that wont be reported as its not very scary.......

Addicknt, I am always happy to be early, and scale down. Friday is rarely a day when broad markets recover from a fall, so my guess would be early next week is the bottom. But at 6500 the FTSE100 is showing some real value IMHO. Like you I have been 25/30% in cash for past 6 months or so, now down to 10%. Getting to think oil is cheap at these levels too cos the Permian shale cant really make any money at $40, so they will be shutting wells in soon.
I am not a fan of high yielding stocks per se, but there are some daft yields, if you think the div will be maintained.
On the other side of the coin, if you are a company that might want to issue some bad news soon, blaming it on Covid19 is a great opportunity!

Completely agree addicknt. I have picked up a small 6 figure amount of Solgold and put a large six figure sum into the general market at these levels. Not sure its the bottom and not much firepower left, but if they want to take it lower next week, I will be here!

My guess is that NC see hav as the immediate source of raw material, so they happy antipa running with first two years, probably with some direction from NC. If antipa find something they have plenty of time to prove it up.
I would rather see ggp sole risk the first 5-10 holes and see what we find. Same with Goliath.

Johhny, apologies I misread your post. I now get your point. I think we agree that NC wont get Hav for 500 million, and nor would they pay 2.5billion. FWIW I think I value the 30% at 1-1.5, assuming some bullish MRE numbers.

And I dont like the idea of 100myn a year gets a value of 2.5billion. Not sure any mining venture trades at multiples of 25!

I am buying too. Scale down and slowly. Broad markets and some specific stocks on my watch list. It will be a good counter balance to all the gold I hold. Nothing lasts forever and I like Warren Buffets adages.

Catchme, this is AIM and a company that was a tiddler last Christmas. There are no options on this stock. If you think there should be, ask Morgan Stanley to offer you an OTC call. I expect the volatility assumption would be over 100%, and the only one to make money would be them!
