I would tend to agree re BHP. Thats what many have said from the outset. Even NM makes reference to that in his last presentation, which I find very odd. Its like he is saying 'we want to tell you what we are going to become, but I dont really believe that,as BHP will be buying us/Cascabel before that happens. But I want to give you a bullish story to get the sp higher, so that BHP pay a decent price'.
That will do me just fine, but I would like to see us just sell Cascabel and not all the exploration upside.

How do the latest drill results fit with your theory about the fill in of Haveiron to the similar eliptical shape of Telfer?
Do you know whether Telfer has any breccia deposits?

Addicknt, I think its all down to me! Eliza and I have been having quite a chat the last few days. Not sure it has made any difference whatsoever, just coincidence. My latest email to her was asking about where they are currently drilling and why nothing on Blanca and Cisne Loja. No answer yet, but expect her to be quite busy.
The bits I like about the release are the potential director buying and the equity raise based on NPV. I am not quite sure who would buy shares based on the NPV but its an interesting development. If they can get someone to pay those sort of prices then Eliza is correct when she said to me that the share price does not reflect the value of the company. An issue at NPV would certainly prove that!
Surprised that we arent much higher based on this release. Just shows the risk off environment we are in right now.

MFU, one reason could be that just about everyone seems to have bought on today’s close, including me! I bought a qtr. so mms short, strong us mkt and great drill results. Hmmmm

Hi Loggy, I am sure some economies of scale would kick in as Scally is just up the road. Maybe they will build a train track and go via Scally for example.
I dont want to think of Scally as Old Kent Road, more like Regent Street!!

Eish, I got broadly the same reply. Denied a change of emphasis and pointed to various presentations that said being a miner. Didn’t however explain why they have changed the wording to explore and develop. Bit of a political reply really.

You wont be surprised to know that I asked GH this question at the AGM!
His answer was that any release that they want to put out has to be approved by nomads/brokers and lawyers etc etc. So if they send the release over in our early hours it needs to get signed off before they can release to the market via an RNS. This is why its often after 8am/mid morning.

The biggest joke is that they say that they continue to engage proactively with their investor base! I presume shareholders are still included in the investor base? Or maybe not?...

Just shows the lead/lag of china/shipments/virus. So China is getting back to full steam (and will be going crazy to get back to 6% growth levels), just as the ports receiving the goods go into lock down! I a few weeks time they vessels will be laid up outside the ports desperate to get in... AIMHO

For the sake of a weekend discussion I gave some thought to what I would like to see, if indeed NM isnt going to be a miner after all.
Sell Cascabel (then there is no more distraction re CGP) for say £2byn. £300 to CGP and £1.7 to us. If NM really wants to pretend that he is a miner then keep 15% for £300. So £1.4 left and return £1byn to s/holders, keeping £400 for proving up all these wonderful opportunities that NM is so confident about. All the s/holders would get a nice immediate return and the chance to spin the wheel again. Link it with some kind of first refusal for NC and/or BHP, especially if that was who was buying Cascabel.
Obviously I have no idea what Cascabel could be sold for, nor whether there would be any taxes to pay nor what the govt would think about this supposed change in direction.

Mister I agree that I don’t think it will attract buyers per se. More likely is that they changed it as they are already in discussions and want to match the website with the outcome. Imho!

So mister, why do you think the wording has changed?

If he can spin it as part of a master plan maybe he won’t go. But if he really wanted to be a major miner (!) then his dream looks to have been crushed.

I can’t find any reference to being a miner. All been scrubbed.
