Undeveloped in the ground copper assets can usually only command $100-200/tonne so the JORCd amounts we have are probably only worth around $2-4m. The big prize was always under Shark tooth with supposedly up to 150m tonnes of 1% copper, so probably worth $200m+ to the Mcap. For the sake of getting one good drill into it to scope it out, I don't know why it's been left on the back burner - unless they were simply feeding us twaddle back then and there's really nowt there?

I make the calculation 3.5p/share rather than 4.5p. If we're going to get anything out of this I'm also hoping for something at least in that same $750m ballpark, as it would exceed our sunk costs (or perhaps equal them with a bit thrown in for inflation over the years) As for us being a private company (assuming that we survive this with some worthwhile assets) there will be private share matching companies around able to link up sales and purchases to provide some liquidity. It may not be as fast and spontaneous as an ordinary share market and the price may not be quite as much, but it would enable you to recoup something.

It did cross my mind that gold is not magnetic. Perhaps they're picking up evidence of an IOCG deposit, which would also contain gold?

The unfair and disheartening fact of early and continued steadfast investment into nascent companies is that the PI rarely gets to share in the discounted fund raises. The loyal holders, some of whom were in years ago at the start of the journey, have to sit helplessly on the bylines and watch IIs reap overnight profits whilst their own holdings get diluted, time and time again. When's the last time you saw a rights issue aimed at rewarding the lth? Most unfair and dispiriting. :-(

By the way if you are continually adding as you claim why do you still keep highlighting nothing but positives and talking the s/p up? Anyone else would keep schtum, no one wants to pay more than necessary. Perhaps it's just altruism and you really are a saint? ;-)

All this public bickering is probably not a good look in the eyes of the GG, IMO, who will be sensitive to the opinions of voters in the run up to the election. Who wants to be seen to be choosing between a pair of squabbling schoolboys when the need of the hour is to showcase a deal with a couple of high level professional SMs on board in order to impress the people? Hope should have kept his pleas for wanting to take the whole of the pie, out of the public domain. For pity's sake curb your monumental greed man, and accept the offer on the table or risk losing the lot.

I'd expect the Georgians to view a parasitic chancer like Hope as being the last choice on Earth to be the trusted partner promising to usher their people into a new era of energy independence and prosperity. Contrast that with a long standing explorer like FRR with Georgian as well as high level US links, and it's a no brainer.

As I remember, it was said there is visible gold but it's currently under water in the flooded section of the mine. I doubt the old timers would have left even one flake of easily recoverable gold for anyone else - don't forget they were Welsh! :-) (I say that as a father in law to a nice Welsh lass currently living in Snowdonia)

Yes lovely grades but only moderate amounts of spoil heaps. As others have said we need to find more of the original high grade stuff to give us a chance of multi bags. At best this will help pay bills and reduce any needed dilution over the short to medium term, while we hopefully scope out more juicy underground resources.

@steveknowsnothin - spoken like a true long term investor. All these multiple hyper positive posts are from the 10%er day traders looking for a quick kill. Anyone else will be quietly wishing they'd hush their beaks while the real investors buy in as cheap as possible. ;-)

I did wonder why SR wastes his life away on this BB but then I realised that he serves a perverse service akin to the officer in some prisoner of war movie that all the inmates hated, but it was that hatred that gave them the determination to survive the ordeal, and they all saw it through to their liberation. So maybe a big thanks to SR is in order instead of bashing him! :-)

p.s. What was the name of that film, I'm sure there are enough old fogies in here to remember it?

That article is at least a year old. Bluejay's Mcap had since dropped by over half and our most likely to deliver asset at the time, HH, has since proved to be a duff. So, given the sizes and the stages of each company's projects, the discrepancy in Mcaps currently no longer exists, IMO. Having said that, I'd love our Mcap to equal or surpass Bluejay's in the not too distant future.
