Just out of interest I wonder what the bod's think is good / true value and what they are looking for in a bid 50p- 60p -80p
There must be a number that the bod's will work towards, maybe they are looking for 60p+ and the bidders need just a little more time to put the numbers into their plans. If these bidders are still willing to pay 45p- 80p then why not go on a bit more and if they are not then surely they would just pull out now. I see this extention as a good bit of news.

Whats going on now, the rns says due dil going on now as expected but is that with the 3 bidders
as 3 bids or can the 3 now get together like sky is saying and they now have until end Sept to put in another offer as a group.
Maybe we wait until end of Sept and we don't get a winner then the group put together another offer but that might be too late as a deal could have already been done. who knows.

If this story is true in the press that some of the bidders are trying to get together and make a bid thats just tipical of them, make a cheap offer and then split the profits between them once they have sold AA for £1+ a share.

So an extention has been granted, so that's good news because it says talks / due dil is going on with potential bidders.
As of yet NO one has pulled out and even if as sky / papers say some of the bidders are getting together it means they are still working on a price. it's maybe now just sown to how much over 40p they are talking about. Good news.

Sir Roger doesn't think it's worth 27p, he is paying that plus rights etc and knows this is worth far more than the 33p offered already by others and that was turned down.

With extra money invested and short term debt of £150m cut out this is worth all of 60p-80p in 6 months.

Well someone has offered to buy Saga on the very cheap for 33p a share which has a MC of £150m ish and it was turned down rightlt so, Now AA. with a MC of double that should be valued at at least 50p a share.
Let's see what happens this week.

Also says like they do that there is no certainty that this deal will go ahead but it think it's a bit late for that now.
Even if it doesn't go ahead we all know that SAGA is worth at least 33p a share in it's current state because that's whats already been offered and rejected and could be worth a lot more to someone else. Also now we know that when Sir Roger pays his money all £100m even at 27p plus 15p so what about 20p ave he is getting a great deal and assets worth about 50% more than he is paying.

I would expect this to be on an rns today as AA. have also posted an RNS today even though it is a bank holiday. shares should open what 16p- 20p as they are not being suspended, but it could well higher as the bod's and Sir Roger think 14p ish is well under true value even now.

Is currently what about £150m at 13p-14p if the goes to maybe 30p it's going to be worth maybe £300m -£400m but it all depends on what happens to the sp doesn't it.
Anyway in all these articles has it said that Sir Roger is coming back to take control and drive the company in his way or is he just investing the money and the current bod's staying put to run the company?

I would have thought he would jump at the chance to go over 30% and make a full bid if others do not take up their rights. Saga would be back in the family.
Now that would be a great deal , sell Saga for £1.4bn and buy it back for what about £200m- £300m.

Some are talking about Saga going bust due to debt etc, but they like many have most of it covered they have a term loan of £140m due 2022
Bonds of £250m due May 2024
Ship Loan of £234m due 2031
So no real problem , If Sir Roger comes in with the £100m and theres another £50m form rights etc and it pay off debt Saga could almost be debt free for another 3/4 years before the ship loan is due. Now that should send the shares way up.

I think it's fair to say the sp has been held down for the last 2 weeks or so with all this going on in the background, otherwise Sir Roger's deal wouldn't have been so good and got off the ground.
So the sp would go up anyway, but to where?

I guess everyone and the company are expecting this to be somewhere between 20p- 30p so investors think they are going to get a good deal by buying the offer at 15p.
Either way many will buy first thing and push the sp up as this will get much higher over the next 3-6 months with most of the short term debt taken care of.
Sir Roger must still think this is a great deal as when the covid and the travel business come back this could go to £1 + very quick even with a lot more shares out there.

Many companies get some talks of a bid but it has to be a firm bid offer by someone for the company to issue an rns, yes it's normally just a statement to ease the market otherwise, just like AA.

I guess we must get that rns on Tuseday but I have seen orther companies issue rns's on a bank holiday. With regards to Roger's % it says up to 20% but his father also still holds 5% doesn't he so it may not be long before they get together and buy that extra 5% for a full bid.

Yes I think we could see an rns on Wednesday but I think it could well say they had received a number of offers over the last weeks and that has been reduced to 1 being the best /highest price and long term cash injection for the company and shareholders, and they will extend the timing by 2 weeks to sort out the small print etc.
After all if there has been more than 1 bid surely all bidders would have been adviced by AA as to where the top bid was and theres would need to be. That's the way I would have played it, but on the other hand maybe all that work has already been done and the rns will say we recommend a bid of 60p+ !

If Sir Roger is happy to spend £100m why doesn't he just into the market now and buy up all the stock much lower than 30p and take control.
Also if as they say they are going to raise £150m in total which is the same as the current MC that would mean double the shares and even a consolidation by maybe 5 or 10, and not many would be happy with that if you already have large amounts tied up at say 70p- £1.

Doesn't he already have a 5% stake, so is this deal for another 20% making him 25% in total or is the deal for another 15% giving him a 20% stake in total ?
