The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
Yes nice to get a little bit of good news for a change and maybe the start of lots more good news in the results , but you can bet our tom will find a way of ranting about it in his normal way.
It's a little strange that they haven't waited to release this news with the results in just a few more days though, but again does that mean there is even better news to come.
Anyway tom just answer the question, if the Dame is voted in again for another 5 years are you going to continue to rant for another few years or are you going to sell up and move on ???????>
So I emailed the Dame about 6 months ago as a concerned and interested investor with valid questions and got a nice reply, but you won't get anywhere by sending a ranting email your just wasting your time.
So tom I would like to ask you a question.
For the last year or so you have ranted and ranted about getting rid of the Dame, so what are you going to do after the AGM when she has been voted in again for another 5 years. still carry on ranting or sell up and walk away ??????
Knowing VOD and the city I guess this is already priced in and the SP could even fall.
Dame to extend her position for another 5 years following AGM vote.
This could be another one of those offers that wants to grab a company really on the cheap and where there will never be a higher offer than say 67p-69p and they all walk away. Don't get carried away thinking there will be a much higher bid because there may not be and the SP could fall back.
Hi contrarian 123, yes we can hope to remove the top people but only with AGM votes and by / with the majority of the shareholders if that's what they want.
But the small pi shareholders don't carry much sway so have to go with all the others. sad but that's life no matter how we feel and what we post on here. All companies go through bad spells and good times so maybe the good times are coming soon. let's hope.
Hi omalley123, how can any of us give advice to others, none of us really know what's going to happen.
I have bought shares before in other companies at 70p which are now 1p-2p, some at 25p-50p and held for 5 years but then sold them thinking they will never come back only now to find they are £1.20+. bought others at say 80p held for ages and then sold thinking I will make up elsewhere and the new shares gone down but now the original shares are £1.40. It's just a big gamble. We all know that ITV is worth a lot more maybe £1.50 - £2 at the right time, I guess if you don't need the money then maybe sit it out after all you will at least get the Divi approx 5p a year. How can anyone tell someone else what to do, it's a mugs game but we all play it hoping to make at some point. best of luck.
You might be right but what's the point in keep ranting about the Dame, Ok the SP could / might go down to 50p ish but we all have a choice you can sell up and make a loss and hope to make it up somewhere else or you can just sit it out.
For all those that want to sell then sell and buy back in later at a lower price, no one is forcing anyone to hold apart from the shorters that want it to go lower.
Sit out or move on.
Good morning Slickharry, I tend to agree with you. I think there will be some negative posters on here that could soon change their views about the BOD's if/when things start to turn round and profits and SP rise big time.
Or I am wrong and we all lose out.
I and most others feel the same with many thousands of shares and underwater at the moment, but what good does it do to keep ranting at the CEO etc. We just have to wait until the results come out to see if there's any progress and if the city like what's taking place.
If not there will be changes at some point or a takeover at these silly prices because is a sitting duck and someone will bid at say £1.25 just to split it up for big profits.
OK so the SP has been falling over the last week or so, but have you noticed that for the majority of the days when it's gone down the buys are greater than the sells.
Does that mean that a broker is still pushing down the SP for someone to keep topping up.
Again yesterday just look at all the big buys after the bell that just seem to be NOT counted in the final days numbers, and that's happened a number of times in the last 2 weeks.
More games being played and at some point it will turn big time regardless of the Dame still being there , so just hold tight for a little longer.
Very interesting, I notice that it only has 1 signature on it. could that be tom from this board ?????
Good morning, I don't think there is anyone on here defending the BOD's certainly not me for what they have done to date but Continuingly ranting on this board does nothing to change the situation with the SP.
You have to accept the CEO and probably most of the BOD's are not going anywhere and we will have to wait for the results.
Tom, I cannot believe you are invested in ITV . Your continuing negative talk over the last 1-2 years seems to be having your desired imoact on the SP.
You say you are already down £*** 's but it looks like you want that to go down even more.Maybe it's time to just stop talking / posting and it might just help us all out here.
Or is it as we expect just wishful thinking that you have invested in ITV.
Good morning tom, goodness your posts are getting worse.
There is nothing you can do about the SP with all these rants and we get the impression you are about to explode with stress on everything to do with ITV.
OK we all know the SP is NOT where it should be , but with the cycle on spend /developement in the business it will come back and maybe even better than before with SP maybe £1.50. Perhaps you should consider a break from here and come back in 6 months as I am sure it will do great things for your feelings. and give us a break from the rubbish you talk at times.
Didn't M.A buy a small stake in Curry a little while back, he might have something to say about a possible bid and force him to up his stake.
Is up to 59p today, could that have something to do with a number of large chunky buys after close yesterday. Maybe Silchester is still building., maybe even a fence which must be 10 up from a stake !!!!!!
Well done Pokerchips, Bang on. !!!!!
ITV will turn when the job is done and the rewards will be bigger , we hope.
Natwest results today show big increase in profit and DIvi and a share buy back the SP goes down. So when ITV announce the same big increase in revenue /profit and Divi thier SP will also go down. ?
