The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
Sorry tom but what a lot of tosh you talk at times.
We have war because some in the world think they can just take what they want like Putin, we and many other countries need to spend more on defence to make us strong so others don't attack us and if they do they need to be punished for doing so,.Or would you just give your own goods away to others just to keep the peace.
Please give me your shares in ITV for nothing otherwise I will find ways of taking them, what a world that would be.
It doesn't look like it's going to happen until June if they pass it, but you can bet many will now sell out as the SP is bound to fall. So I guess it's when to sell for the best price soon or later to see what happens ?
Well the year is over now and ITV can't do any more apart from doing the paper work and posting the results.
I know we are only at what 62p-64p at the moment but I would guess that the SP will start to rise again now while looking forward to the Divi, after all if the Divi is still going to be 3.3p -4p that's a very good return on 64p ish SP .
It's about time this share started to perform much better, after all the Dame did say 2024 would see a better return for shareholders and now we just need to see it. !!!!!! come on 80p still my short term target.
And before anyone posts, I saw that half baked slip of the finger in beans when it should have been been.!!!!!
nothing to do with drink although I could have used that as the reason.
Antway back to the drink now.
Well a happy new year to all pi's and let's hope we can make a little bit more of the stuff !!!.
But I guess the big question is what else is there worth trying our hands at which will grow in SP as well as a Divi reward.
For the last year I have Bean following AO/ Curry/Mars/ Vod/ Thg / Gnc. So who's going to return the best ???
When you look at the shorts we are what about 1.5% which is nothing and not worth worrying about, after all some companies have shorts or 10%-20%.
I guess like many I was begining to have doughts and thought I would sell all once we hit 80p+, but after hearing that interview it could be the start of something much bigger with SP going to £1+. So I might sell some and hold the others. What a game. !!!!
Thank god most of us don't have to live off this.
Do any of us private investors /gamblers ever really make big profits, I like many have done / played this game for some 40 years and the majority profits are small ones ie £1k - £5k at a time.
We have all bought at what we think is the lowest and sod's law it goes down again so we have tried the long game looking to make millions.
Now I tyr to make the odd few grand and a few and move on always saying never put it all in one good stock, but again I find myself with too many shares in ITV but on the plus side my ave is only in the 70's and that shouldn't be a problem.
I think it's fair to say the only big gainers are the funds and any posters that keep coming on here saying they just made £10k-£20 in one hit should be taken with a pinch of salt. Any way back to ITV which I still think will hit 80p +in a few months but I won't be buying any more just yet. best of luck all.
Good morning all, I think tom should listern to this recording asap because any chance of her going now must be 0% in 2024.
She does seem full of it, positive talk I mean.
Good morning, I think they have / are reading the market wrong and things are about to turn for the better here and on the market in general.
Look todays lift I am sure is down to lower inflation and the chances of BOE reducing interest rates sooner than expected.
could see the market rise another 100-200 points over the next few weeks when we come back in Jan with ITV up to 80p+.
I have to agree with most that's been said, we have to remember that like all companies and BOD's in them, that none of them really care about the day to day SP prices or care about any shareholders.
That are there for themselves in iether getting free/cheap share deals for a period of time so they can walk away with lots of money when they want to or when they get removed.
It's been like that for 30-40 years and we just have to try and work with it or round it to our benefit.
I could live with 80p but want £1 plus Divi's.
Good morning bald-eagle, it's simple just say what you feel if you have your own view on things. or are you an MP who is sitting on the fence. That's the trouble with life now, just say what you feel and let others sort it out or maybe you don't have any feelings at all?.
Come on I won't get up-set. !!!!!
Good morning anon3, to be honest now I think all politics is a big joke. At my age now I don't care who gets in power as long as they give all OAP's a 20% rise in their pensions, because the main problem as I see it is they all just want to get in power for the sake of it regardless of actually getting things done.Cons deserve to lose for stabbing Boris in the back and Labour won't say what they will do , a because they don't know and secondly because it's better to just sit on the fence as they don't want to put off any voter. They all just want to be MP 's for the life and money.
I have always tried to follow N.Farage a little with some of his views , and to be honest I think he has done hiself lots of good and gained many more followers.
I think people like him because he keeps things simple and ties to say things in the way many normal people understand and things many people think the same way. Always been surprised he has never managed to become a normal MP even though he was an MEP for many years and knows how it works for the good of the EU and not for UK.
I remember saying that at 75p-80p and bought, fortunately I sold again and made a little profit.
Who knows where this is going but like ITV it will have to go up big time at some point. it's just knowing when to jump in again.
Good god tom, 2 things I agree with you on. I just love Rhubarb and Custard and I follow Crystal Palace my team.
What's going wrong !!!!!!!!!!
Hi tom, unfortunately I don't get very excited about much these days and I take all the broker notes with a pinch of salt, but my eyes did light up yesterday when I saw 1 big buy of 500,000 shares so someone has faith.
J.Morgan cuts ITV to £1.06, bring it on , that will do me. !!!!!!
I don't think the SP drop is anything to do with Divi's or poor management in the short term , it's all to do with the government looking to stop price rises in mid contracts for all phone & broadband companies.
So the market is just dropping all targets and getting ready for lower profits to come in the next few years, which will in the long term hit profits and Divi's I guess.
So any truth in the idea that N.Farage has taken his £1.5m fee for (get me out stint) in ITV shares at 60p rather than in cash.
that way if he holds them for what 5 years he will probably not have to pay tax and the share SP will be back above £1..
Clever move !!!!
