SGB,
All fair comment, but where is the actual news on Kibo specific projects?
I’m hardly the only one to notice the significant slowing in news flows from Kibo. Is this to do with KAT? Has his attention span gone off on (yet another) tangent for the KAT South African Gold Project and put our own projects on the back burner?
On an individual project basis what the hell as happened to Bordersley? In production by end of Q1 will mean you should have guy on site pouring ground floor slabs now (not exactly the conditions for concreting works). There is two chances we have Bordersley Production by the end of Q1 let’s be honest. We have no doubt hit a snag in the process, which in itself is fine, happens all the time on construction and infrastructure projects, but as per usual, we will be the last to know.
And that in a nutshell is this guy’s problem, he has strung so many alone for so long that no one believes anything that comes out of his mouth as every time line he has ever given has been fabricated garbage (each person can make their own mind up if it’s deliberate or he’s just gullible and naive).
JD
The whole investment strategy here is for its energy assets, sure the 55% of a gold explorer is nice if it continues to do well, but it’s still a fraction of the net asset value here and besides, if gold was your thing you would have invested in KAT straight up. The fact that Coetzee is now touting KAT as a KIBO success tells you everything about where progress has gone here / is going here.
JD
Sadly, Gillie, it would appear that way, a slap in the face to all the PIs who have paid this guy’s wages for the better half of a decade, either he thinks he’s too good for us now or the questions started to hit too close to home. Either way, shows what he thinks of PIs.
JD
Gillie, his PR and PI Interaction is world beating bad, we are treated like cannon fodder. He stopped interacting with me when i dared to ask him about his knowledge of share dealing in and around the TS Capital / Sanderson fundraising.
JD
Shumba, Sanderson, TS Capital, could be anyone to be honest, SD.
There is still a hangover, not to mention an overhang from the 422m shares issued as part of the October Placing, it’s taken a huge amount of time to ‘recycle’ these as there hasn’t been any news or positivity till very late.
As to the reason? I hope for the best……But with LC it is just hope, I have come to view him as an utter chancer (that me being kind).
JD
Again, Bcl, it’s just another recent clue that the guy doesn’t know what any timelines really is. Still, we have 55% of a company that has a gold project in Tanzania the he is trying to sell for £500k (that he spent millions on it), 70% of a nickel project in Tanzania, the other 30% he gave away for next to nothing (that he spent millions on it) and the next new hope 50% of a gold project that is ‘near term’.
His next truckload of diversion tactic won’t be far away.
JD
At the end of last year there was a notable change in strategy with his communications, gone was any descriptions or timelines (such as the PPAs mentioned in the Q3 Q&A) everything was paired down in terms of detail and dates when we went on to the Q4 presentation and the Q4 Q&A. It’s a worrying development IMHO, the programme of delivering this as clearly gone massively sideways and as such he decided to scrub all the dates and promises. It’s just the latest development in the multi-year Louis Coetzee saga of delivering nothing, he’s changed the goalposts more time than a Wembley Groundskeeper. As per last week’s RNS which gave no dates or progress, this was for a reason, the truth is he probably doesn’t know himself!
JD
Anything is possible with the right news! The potential is here (of course that has been said before).
The last real news released here (last week’s pointless fluff wasn’t news) was the MAST JDA news with AB Impianti. Considering that was now 3 and a half month ago you have to ask what Coetzee has been doing? And no, saying the KAT JV isn’t an answer as that has nothing to do with the company I’m directly invested in. This guy seriously needs to pull his finger out.
JD
There’s lots of unknowns, SS, no getting away from it. The Petrochemical Plant / Power Plant is an outlier, for example, these are massive projects, truly massive in terms of our MCAP, you never know, despite the kickings we’ve taken here, sometimes AIM dreams come true.
JD
Staypositive,
Truth is no one knows, in the short term a lot depends on MAST, getting Bordersley to production on time provides confidence and so would securing new sites. If we can also get a PPA on one of the main sites, then really who knows, this is AIM, sometimes shares ‘pop’ as can be seen with the likes of EUA.
JD
Upside down.
What do we think is driving the SP rise of late?
Do some know of news imminent?
Is it just an underrated stock now coming back to its NAV?
Has the placing dissipated and now it’s a fair market?
Is it KAT?
Is it all of the above?
JD
China, and increasingly India are where all the funding is coming from, the west have robbed themselves of solid investments and international standing but trying to inflict expensive energy on the poor, it’s the new colonialism of course, trying to force mostly a poor black population into an energy form they can’t afford and being in debt to white capital for years to come, they have dressed this up as an ‘environmental crisis’ but it’s about colonialism and control of energy.
JD
Great posting as always, SD.
My own take on the warrants (given where we are now, everyone knows my views on the issue of them itself) is that it is beneficial for us to have these exercised as quickly as possible, as it would put Kibo on a strong financial footing going forward, plus, if they are getting exercised it probably means we are way north of here.
