Assets in the ground are useless unless you have a heavyweight miner to JV (THIRD PARTY) with you and get it out of the ground. Just like AVCT have Affimers but they are worth a lot less in the LFT world unless you have a heavyweight to turn Affimers into a LFT and provide mass production capacity. Funnily enough it is all third parties we are waiting on to get this into production at scale.

NOt to mention the value of the business long run isn't in a Covid LFT, this is just a bonus. The therapeutics will be the long term value add!
The people peed off here were the ones chasing Covid rainbows, got spiked at £2....moaned about the placing as that stopped them making their 50000% in a day profit and now cant bare to wait and have no idea what the long term vision of this business is.

Took the words out of my mouth DOH...this was 14p in March so over a 1000% rise. Tell me why different rules apply?
This was not a business created to make Covid LFT's! I didn't invest here for a quick Covid buck like may of the moaners!
If there is no LFT (which I think is very very unlikely) then this whole process has proved Affimers work in so many situations. Deepverge / Adeptrix / ELISA....
Our large pharma partners are expanding their contracts with AVCT - would they do that if the business was a load of rubbish?
We raised £40m of which most is going into therapeutics not diagnostics - what does that say?
Everyone needs to look a lot wider than the LFT and you probably need to do a little more homework!

Darkknight - As the CEO's personal accountant and closest confident I assume you know his full personal circumstances to be able to say there's plenty of ways to finance a house. Also, why does it matter what level he is at? Whether he is CEO or a cleaner - he holds AVCT shares that he has every right to sell when he wants.

You've never seen a director sell shares? Check out GGP.....CEO been selling shares at regular intervals this year and that Co is sat on a tier 1 gold mine and by no stretch reached its full potential.
He needed some cash sharpish. AS could well be sat crying into his Yorkshire tea that he had to sell these at £1.80. But then again he's got the other 96% of his holding in equity and options to take the pain away

Axe - Because you can't pay for a house after you bought it.....very simple to grasp concept (especially with all these brain cells you have). Needs a lump sum now to pay for the house and has to sell some equity for it. Equity that has risen significantly in value over the last year and only a tiny portion of his overall equity/options holding.
What gives PI's the right to dictate when he buys a house and how he pays for it? No red flag at all!

Could well be a second home. 20% deposit of £250k is a £1.25m pad.....still needs a £1m mortgage and not to mention the £120k you'd need for stamp duty on that being a second home. Cash requirements soon add up even if you've mortgaged most of it!

ShearClass - The guys is buying a frigging house! You cant tell the seller or the bank "oh hold on mate can we just do this when my shares in the Co are worth a bit more, I'm the CEO so all is good". IF he needs the cash he needs the cash.
I'm sure he planned on the SP being higher but delays (that aren't AVCT's) have kept a lid on that.

Must say I touched cloth a bit there seeing the SP drop and an RNS flash up....Then it just said AS has sold some shares.

You'd have thought the RNS said "No LFT scale up/ Affimers don't work / CONDOR kicked us out" with that reaction!
He's sold 1/3 of his shares to fund a house - the fact it's even told you what for should be good enough to remove any concern! MM's taking full advantage of as you say prop the bed wetters.

Well there we go. A few weeks has very quickly turned into a few months. Chairman’a statement now says Q4 for Completion of Benga PPA. Quoting a larger or additional power plant being considered. These guys are deluded clowns.....how about getting something - just something! over the line and revenue generating before you decide to expand your original plans.

Not this again. Who unleashed MB and his O*X love on here....stick to what you’re invested in. If the COViD stuff falls flat on its face at least we have a whole other business to focus on, one that we originally set out to develop.

Maybe incompetence was a little strong but missing a deadline once I have no issue with - especially the first one where Covid was probably a genuine reason.
The second, third and fourth delays.....when operating under the new Covid "normal" should have bedded in tbh, then the brazen media coverage saying all on track and then a last minute U-turn just doesn't sit right with me personally. He knew they weren't getting well before each delay was announced.
It's also the fact this is the most pivotal part of the whole Blyvoor project and the laissez faire attitude to it. That gold is worth jippy sh*-t unless someone with the money gets on board to extract it. Simple as.
I would just prefer some honesty from them and a realistic timeframe for once - even if it had said 6 months. You would have thought under promise and over deliver would be the motto.
Anyway, it is what it is and the projects are without a doubt economically solid! Lets just hope the big bufoon LC can get it financed ASAP!

Well that was 3 weeks ago so any day now could we possibly see something actually happen? For the sake of all our investments here I bloody hope so!!

Just be careful there with "promises" besidethesea. Quote from the RNS:

The first milestone to be completed is the Resource update and upgrade currently underway (See RNS of 03 September 2020). The Resource update and upgrade will deliver an updated Resource and Reserve statement, as well as a SAMVAL valuation report for the Project, expected by the end of October.

Expected but not promised. The last Sept deadline we were told everything was on track for funding/financing until the 11th hour when we got the RNS saying Nov.

I'm confident this will get done at some point, gold and nickel are hot topics right now. However, very much aware there is some incompetence in the BOD which could see these timelines missed again. Hope not but nothing is ever nailed on!

Hit the nail on the head there DOH. This isn't now a case of who gets the first one to market takes all....the general noise that saliva based LFT's are what the govt are procuring is the most important part. We know demand will outweigh supply many many times over. So, even if the govt aren't buying AVCT right now, they are buying in the saliva LFT market and that is where they see a ticket out of this. Once AVCT have their product, available for the market, we will join other various producers in being bought out of everything we can produce....

Couldn’t agree more Oilbethere. News the other day that Johnson and Johnson has to halt their vaccine efforts due to unexpected side effects. Sure that will be a common theme and can’t see a vaccine anytime soon....never mind the fact that if there is one, how many will take one that has been hurried through the process? I wouldn’t give it to my kids!
How many people die a year from flu and there’s a well established jab for that!
Testing is without a doubt the only way forward and it has to be Quick, affordable, reliable and scalable. From what we have heard so far (albeit how scalable is tbc) Avct could well have the solution.
For these exact reasons, if it’s Dec/Jan before we have the LFT to the mass market then I’m more comfortable with that than ever. This virus has no quick fix....

The size of both AVCT and SNG placings at only 4% discount on AIM Speaks for itself. Most AIM companies can’t even get £1m at a 20% discount. Not to mention how oversubscribed they are....
Shrewd business moves under the circumstances in both cases. Can’t even be bothered to list the umpteen reasons why Avcts placing was a brilliant move. Nobody has been done. Growing a business costs money....simples!

We should also remember that AS has mentioned previously and added more info in the presentation about the desire for various manufacturers (including others across the world Asia etc). This tech transfer is generating the blueprints for manufacturing in mass scale and has to be 100% spot on, otherwise its back to the drawing board each time we onboard a new manufacturer. This is the one that will take the most time and I personally believe the progress after this stage on he manufacturing front will be exponential.

Headline this morning that most anticipated would be an issue for vaccines and I’m sure we will see more and more over the coming months. Just shows exactly why I and many others here said even if a vaccine is hurried through, a good portion of the population wouldn’t take it due to the possibility of unknown side effects.
Clearly a vaccine is not the “golden ticket” out of this COViD nightmare it’s quick, reliable, affordable testing.....which we hope Avct is on the cusp of providing!

Right Scott - Get in there, give Hanno a good talking to, show him how it’s done and light the fuse for this company. This is very good to see and you could see Hanno is way out of his depth. Hopefully adding this experience to the business puts us back on course!
