Yep 100% sensetalka. For me what is most concerning is his clear ineptitude in the basics of getting what is a "relatively simple" operation up and running and his own delusions of when this will be achieved. It's gold tailings FFS not an open pit mine they need to construct. If he can't manage that, I worry how he can operate in shareholders best interests at the table with potential financing partners. Luckily the gold price is high and its a good project, so there will be plenty of intra potential partner competition I would expect. HOWEVER, Katoro needs a financing partner more that they need Katoro so the deal he produces could go either way for me....

We'll get another "deadline" and more "progress" reports with twitter blasts every other day. I can't see how this project won't get over the line, it's economically sound, especially at current gold prices. The problem is LC and Co couldn't hit a cows backside with a banjo never mind a deadline! Which means that any of these fluffy RNS's with no detail are met with negativity.
He needs to get some concrete numbers out to the market and a realistic timeframe for this financing deal.

If they are expecting a SAMVAL report back at some point in November (and I believe this a fairly comprehensive piece of work) which any financing partners will be using to assess the payback of the project, that likely means 23:59 on 30th Nov for LC, there is a fairly high chance 30th Nov for a financing deal is off the cards.

I would say there are 3 things going through his mind:
1. I wish these impatient PIs would stop emailing me asking where this test is to put their mind at ease, spouting about me selling some shares and have a good look back at my presentations which tell you exactly where the business is going. I’m trying to run a business here that ain’t solely focused on a COViD LFT.
2. FFS I have do all I can do up to now and these bloomin third party’s are taking their time, but if a jobs worth doing it’s worth doing properly.
3. Jeez this pretty big chunk of share options I have are exercisable only once the company hits specific revenue and profitability targets so I’m going to focus on running my business outside of the COViD lft as that’s where I have always seen the most value given this COViD malarkey could all come crashing down.

Look - there are 2 very distinct types on investor in this business who will view the progress very differently.
If you came here on the Covid wave buying in at £1.20 to £2 range and the basis of your investment was the Covid products, then okay I can see why you may be a little bit aggrieved and frustrated by the delays as the return you hoped for hasn't yet materialised.
What a lot of those in the first camp fail to realise is that AVCT set out to become a household name through their Affimer IP and cancer therapeutics, not a LFT for a pandemic that came out of the blue.
Affimers are used in the Covid products, so a rushed, sub standard test would actually be the reason AVCT missed out on being a household name rather than not producing a test before some other Covid plays. Not to mention the knock on impact on the therapeutics side.
How does this sound as a tagline "PreCision cancer therapy....coming to you from AVCT, the makers of a cr*p LFT test we bundled together to make a few quid during the pandemic"

So the bemoaned who are underwater on their Covid investment, asking for AS's head on a stake every day there is no news are going to get some stick from LTH here, its simple as. AVCT are trying to build tech that needs to be produced in volumes way beyond the capacity anyone ever thought they would need. AVCt weren't exactly a global pharma company with billions in the bank to p*ss up the wall on this stuff. AS has to fundamentally protect the business whilst working on this and progressing other avenues of the business (hence the raise that again many Covid only investors were in uproar about).

Not to mention next set of Hav drills which we think will be 10th Dec and possibly MRE included in that, or around then as we have been told Dec.
Plus some updated broker notes surely?
Agree it would be nice to get something on Scally in the next couple of weeks which is well overdue

Agreed CBAX and with Ghana being very pro mining due to the taxes they take from mining Co's,

Surely a 3 x bigger resource is a no brainer for them to grant a permit now and hopefully shuffle this one up the queue!

Rob the contribution is monetary, we don't have any input into the treatment development. So people on the BB are talking about the significance of the investment in terms of potential return to the business V current Mkt cap, especially with Covid being the hot topic right now. In terms of any contribution to the development of the treatment, you wouldn't expect VELA to get a mention they are purely a financial backer and its not like VELA is a household name that they would want to be shouting from the rooftops.

Based on this updated resource a £20m mkt cap is absurd.
Let’s just say the AISC circa $900 per ounce so will use gold revenue as $1000/oz and we have 120,000oz
120,000 * 1000 / 1.3 = £92m for the south pit only!

Don’t forget this is the resource for only one of 3 areas. Given the quality, size and grades of gold found in the original mine, plus what it has been shown is in the south pit, I would be very very surprised if there isn’t plenty more gold in the central and northern pit!

AS ran a business with a focus on therapeutics prior to COViD and why would he tarnish the reputation of what seems to be very positive movements in that space with a hurried LFT embroiled in all this controversy. Do it right and by the book....even if that means sucking up a few delays and emails from pesky PIs badgering him with the “are we there yet daily”

Doggy HL always value your portfolio on the bid not ask as that is by definition of a bid price what you could sell at. 23p would overvalue it for you

Well news was due end Oct which surprise surprise has never materialised....I quote:

It also seems like the financing deal due end Nov is partially dependent on this, so wouldn't hold your breath for that to come on time either.
So annoying they just cant get anything sorted with what is on paper, a very attractive proposition!

Genie apologies, that buy at the top comment wasn't aimed at you personally. Appreciate your points of view and that short term sentiment may have taken a hit for some. You actually provide reason and rationale to your comments so it's good to actually share those on this bb between investors.
I also appreciate some will have invested here as a quick Covid play so the delays scupper that slightly narrow minded investment opportunity, but I guess that's where research comes in / the perils of trying to trade any stock short term. However, my comment on 500% chasers is very much aimed at the people shouting for AS's head on a stake and emailing him every day about what's going on behind the scenes.
What you want to know he can't tell you until it's RNSd and they will come when its ready.

This is so silly - you shouldn't be consistently informed of the same thing. We've had RNS's, AGM;s, investor presentations. Clearly AS isn't worried about what is going on elsewhere and focusing on getting a job done, not putting your mind at rest. Until he tells you TT is done or they are giving up on the LFT due to the vaccine, its a quiet period due to reliance on 3rd parties.
