Genie - you do realise AVCT are trying to do what usually takes years in a matter of months? In the midst of a global pandemic where quite frankly nobody knows what the hell is going on...still. Not to mention AVCT are trying to build tech that needs to be produced in volumes way beyond the capacity anyone ever thought they would need. AVCt weren't exactly a global pharma company with billions in the bank to p*ss up the wall on this stuff. AS has to fundamentally protect the business whilst working on this and progressing other avenues of the business (hence the raise).
Nobody can compare this to the Zika test. Nobody gave a rats a*se about Zika as it didnt impact the western world (only the middle classes who could afford to holiday in exotic places) good tech but there was never going to be demand.
Saying pfizer have created a vaccine in the time AVCT havent been able to produce a spit on a stick test. Well lets be real here, what resources do Pfizer have to work on this.....infinite cash, hundreds of thousands of employees, govt funding. The list goes on. Avct have none of that. We have taken on a huge challenge that there is no doubt was risky and optimistic and that is rearing its head in delays.
The testing market is there so if it was that easy, why haven't Pfizer and GSK and all the other big pharmas done it?
I agree with DOH here, bored of the circles.
Appreciate some got in here at the top and the SP has taken a dip due ot delays, but surely people researched this and realised it wasn't ever a done deal? Ah no wait, most just followed the Covid here back then and got spiked, now they havent got their 500% rise in a week, AVCT and AS have deceived them all and robbed them of their dreams.
Come on....people need a reality check and some objectivity here.

DOH that had me chuckling but think you are spot on. I think AS knows bumbling Bojo could pull this from under our feet but at the same time we have every right to show him the door if he p*sses us around.
What we can produce will sell, and we’re not talking 100 here or there down the car boot sale. It could be govts, airlines, sports stadiums, offices all over the world who end up wanting/needing these tests

Badeli - that’s 2 of us in NCCL and here....I would agree, someone with the credentials of SF on board is a big plus. Taking a stake in a company as a “PI” and ending up being asked to be a director is no
mean feat. Although I think Hanno needs more help than they do here!

I still had faith all was going to plan MrsKOB and was of the opinion that AS would have the decency to tell us if the vaccine was going to negatively impact the process.

Yeah I have seen the BRH RNS and don’t disagree it’s reassuring and will be well received by investors on there and across COViD stocks in general.
This all depends how you view the reaction from AVcT (and that is probably also dependent on your average price and reason for investing)
I’m in here from ~30p and whilst the LFT is a great balance sheet booster it wasn’t what I invested in this co for. Fully appreciate those who bought in this year on the COViD rush at £~2 might be feeling a little diffferently.
I personally see the lack of response to the SP move as a message saying - nothing no has changed since Friday despite the market reacting bizarrely to a very poorly and deceptively worded news release on a vaccine.
As has been said here by someone else also no TR1s from major shareholders (yet) so that’s a positive sign. You didn’t see RR issuing RNSs every time the SP dropped earlier this year!
What we have previously been told still stands if we have heard nothing to the contrary. Boris said yesterday testing is still a big focus and cautioned vaccine hype. Appreciate it’s hard to believe Boris right now and some want to hear that from AS.
However, you could argue everything we need to know that tells us this ain’t a dead duck is in the public domain.

Were 1/3 of the way through Q4 Wiggly. What if nothing has changed since the last update / AGM and AS still doesn’t have an exact date on Tech transfer but is working on all the other pieces of the puzzle in the background. What do you need and RNS for?

Wish people would stop crying out for AS to send an RNS out to put minds at rest! If there were issues he would have to RNS them or once the next stages are complete he will issue an RNS that’s the way you need to look at it.

I get people are nervous especially after yesterday. Yes this is delayed from ASs naively optimistic initial summer timeline. But you have to appreciate what they are trying to achieve here with the LFT and the reliance on 3rd parties (some more inept than others) so delays were inevitable. There is a chance of course this is all a pipe dream and we’ve been duped but I don’t believe that for a second and AS won’t exactly be sat at a desk, feet up with a cuppa laughing while he counts his £40m placing cash.

At the same time I also wouldn’t expect him to be sat at his desk prepping emails and RNSs to say “it’s okay PIs nothing has changed since I last updated you, don’t fret”

Couldn’t agree more Bobby - couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw some of the tanking going in COViD stocks, with no RNSs. Quick google brought up the BBC article which after a quick read was very clear in my eyes this vaccine is not a silver bullet solution to the problem. It will be well into 2021 before any normality returns unless mass testing can be rolled out effectively. However, it just shows how crazily the money moves and sadly VRFBs aren’t the in topic at the moment.
Behind the scenes FM is working his magic and hopefully once this election/vaccine madness all calms down, Biden will have to deliver on his green policies and BmN are at the forefront of the battery revolution.

Some interesting chat on the COViD stock boards that peoples panic sells weren’t showing on their accounts so they kept hitting it to bail and the whole thing has been exhasberated. No doubt this whole sell off has been overdone, a long way to go for this vaccine!
Still a long way off back to normal and that’s going to continue to hit economies hard. Central banks will keep printing money. Gold has a solid future in my view and GGP is poised to capitalise

Emotionally attached to what though Titsandbits, the LFT Covid play only? We've been hit just as hard as the companies who are solely reliant on Covid testing products. AVCT was in partnership with some very big pharmas long before Covid, which should maybe put you at ease that AVCT has been way overdone and there is plenty more value here even if AS was to put out an RNS tomorrow saying "Vaccine in 6 months, were giving up on the LFT" which will categorically not happen.

Spot on poundcake. They can't only open the world up only to vaccinated people (who will be the elderly and vulnerable in the early stages anyway).
This changes nothing near term for the majority of the population or AVCT business plan. If I want to go on holiday, there will be plenty of people booked on that plane who haven't been vaccinated. Airlines etc will still have to make sure everyone is negative before flying to keep this virus suppressed whilst mass vaccination is rolled out which wont be well into 2021 and beyond.
Still plenty of market to sell into - this was so overdone its untrue.
Timing of the news just after the election and the blatantly misleading journalism stinks in my view.

You can glean from the overexaggerated journalism that this vaccine as a near term solution to the pandemic is a pipedream. I imagine AS is just saying pah a bit of hope for the future but BAU keep pushing with the tests.
It's either an RNS tomorrow saying "vaccine news so lets stop the LFT work" (WONT HAPPEN) and if not, we can rest assured LFT is progressing as anticipated and we have nothing to worry about!

Agreed - Bully it is the Mktcap of the company that determines the % of GDXJ funds GGP it allocates. The higher the mkt cap (assuming a static GDXJ AUM) the more allocation we get.
So unless GDXJ sees material redemptions / a significant drop in asset valuation OR GGP SP drifts back to the end Aug level of ~15p, we will be seeing some material buying as per AM90's calcs.
So we want the SP up not suppressed. Fingers crossed Nov has some exciting news in store, updated broker notes and an MRE at some point in Dec....

Their initial purchase was based on the end Aug SP of circa 15p so if the SP doesn’t mover from here it should be a decent buy given were 50% up from there, but if Scally comes in and we see a material lift in the SP it could be a material buy indeed. Still plenty of time for news to drop before end Nov!

Quality over quantity O&W....we all have our own views on the delays and agree nobody’s view on a bb should influence an investment decision.
The issue here is the influx of “I’m going to email AS as there’s no test yet, we’ve been duped”
It’s delayed yes - some will have invested here hoping for a quick buck and to be out in a month with 500% profit. Others invested here years ago on the therapeutics appeal and don’t see COViD LFTs as the be all and end all.
There are 2 very distinct camps who will have very different views on this - bound to be some back and forth but I think the naysayers need to look further into this Co, the backing they have from major pharmaceuticals, the IP they have in affimers and what they are hopefully on their way to achieving in diagnostic and therapeutic spaces in the next couple of years.

Shock - £170k to contractors issued in shares because the Co cannot afford to pay them in cash. Either the contractors are happy to take this as they are delivering work that will increase the value of this business (unlikely given LC delivers nothing...ever) or these will just be sold instantly.
