Optimus - I decided to hold on to GLEN! Let us see the consequences today/this week.

It could be much worse, it could be much better. As well as many sitting on paper-losses, there are plenty sitting on big gains from EMG. I don't think oblivion is on the cards.

Optimus - BBOX seem to be building their business steadily. A director at GLEN just spend a piffling £1.5m buying yesterday when I'm considering banking my massive £986 profit - nothing like rubbing shoulders as you pass in opposite and unequal directions!

This company has ambitions, a clear strategy and a team that seems solid in executing its plans. I will add.

Found some courage and bought into GLEN yesterday early afternoon. Up 14% at the mo but really don't know the company well. When to bail - for the weekend?!

Slept terribly this weekend and didn't discover any additional wisdom! RDSB still falling. Quite shocked by the descent of GLEN but haven't had the bottle to buy in even sub-70p! Maybe I was braver last year. Still saving....

Takes a while to turn a tanker.....so waiting patiently. Some are losing 25% of value on no new news, so I'm kind of thankful I'm not in the likes of GLEN today.

Optimus, GS - I'm tempted by RR. and by RBDS at the price levels but as Hot cautions lots of knives are still failing. Guess it is a question of how much money one can afford to tie-up for how long? The market seems to be expressing doubt about the BG deal otherwise it can be seen as free money. On RR. it looks more like a waiting game. It is incredible that there is so much angst about the Fed potential rate rise. Despite the current bargains, I'm still saving and thinking of 'cashing-out' on some larger holdings to buy-in after some possible further and sharp correction/madness. Gonna sleep on a lot of things this weekend....

And there was me moping that I had missed out on the recent low of RDSB only to see today that it dropped below that level - 1539p at present. Lots of emotion out there in the market at the mo, and can RDSB really sustain a yield of almost 7.5%? History would suggest yes but market could take the sp even further.

Optimus, thanks. Did think it strange that QPP did that given that they have £500m in the bank. I assumed it must have been the fulfilment of the terms of some earlier specific sales agreement. I should have been patient and just sat with SEC and PIN - far less risky - lesson learned, now to just decide when to cut and run from both QPP and FOGL.

Possibly and FT keeps on flagging BEZ as a candidate. Happy to hold and see what plays out. BEZ is getting on with things and delivering regardless of others' interest

Let us see how the market reacts to this morning's RNS on BPO sale, which is supposedly earnings neutral but debt-reducing when taken together with other things. Soames keeping to his word and executing another step in the strategy towards SRP focusing on public sector exclusively.

GS, Optimus, Hot - just a quick hello. Not doing much beyond reinvesting dividends ( on BEZ, GLIF, EMG, VOD and UNICORN UK Inc) and keeping some cash for a really good opportunity (not sure why I didn't get into gear to exploit the RSDB sub-£16 opportunity. Bought into BBOX very modestly last month but that is going to a very long-term hold, all being well. Not quite sure when to square-away the earlier and more immodest/naive holdings of FOGL and QPP in my portfolio but I suspect circumstances in the next few weeks will force my hand! Hope all is well with you all.

GS, let us see if your lucky/unlucky cave decision works! What a week and glad I did not get panicked into selling. Not too bothered I didn't rush into buying also.

Wonder if it will reach down to the 50s again, if not lower? That would provide some temptation, albeit of a modest sort.

Agree. They are building a solid portfolio and approach. It will be interesting to see where this goes in the medium-to-long term

Been looking for a while at both BBOX and POWR. Bought into BBOX for a modest sum today.

So many things could push the sp around but it seems Soames is beginning to grip what needs to be done to rebuild the profitability and reputation of the company. Just very early days still.
