Hi guys - I'm just back from a break in India and seeing the mini-mayhem with the FTSE. Think I will stick and see where things go. Remember buying Av. at 299p and EMG at 142p thinking I was getting bargains, only to see them plunge to sub 270p and sub-70p in subsequent weeks. I guess bargains are all relative. Who knows where the likes of RDSB and TSCO will end up? ( I'm still bemused about all the angst around the Fed rate-rise decision - its going to happen one day!).

Hi GS, Hot, Optimus. Just lurking. Bought into LIO today. Still watching the quiet progress of BEZ.

GS - well done. At what price would you re-enter? Alternatively, what do you see as the next level up for Av.assuming it holds above 500p/510p?

I wonder if Geoff Miller will buy another big chunk this December to match the one from last December?

I don't t think anyone is expecting this to "bounce", given the company's own forward guidance but rather that ongoing reorganisation of the business and securing and managing of better contracts will encourage an upwards revision in the share price into the medium-term.

Don't feel like I've seen AV. over £5 for a good while. Wonder if it will hold.

Hot, I've been in a few hurricanes, Ivan being the worse. Although lots of folk get excited about whether the hurricane is actually gonna make landfall and how bad s/he will be, when it is close and actually arrives, it's not fun! [ Fortunately BEZ hasn't had any big payouts for hurricanes of late! ].

Interim results last week were solid. Maybe some are now starting to absorb the results.

It has been raining solidly here in Nairobi for the past six hours. Many roads and paths flooded. Lots of talk about El Niño effects that are yet to come. We will see. I'm sure there will be another opportunity to get into BEZ but it has felt like the bottom has been hardening around 360p like you suggested earlier today. I should buy more. Still kick myself for not buying Next, Supergroup, Ocado and Dignity at different points when they were much much cheaper but I thought they were near the top end then! How wrong was I?!,

Ah Hot, if only I had topped up much much more along the way with BEZ! But it has been good. I did flag it back on our old board - see my March 6 2014 confession of mistakes, regrets and semi-successes with share picks. I'm still in with and very up ( 110%+) with AV. for which I still owe GS and Optimus thanks. (But how I despite myself for buying into the likes of QPP and tiddly oilers - many lessons learnt, I hope!)

Hot - could you give me a technical view on BEZ. I'm a holder and generally ignore brokers ( as BEZ always seems to outperform broker targets) but would be good to know what are the points for BEZ to move-up to another level ( unless you think a fall is coming?!!)

Is there news about the more probable referendum date?! I thought it could be anytime up to Dec 2017. I wouldn't expect it next year but neither do I think it will be left beyond Q2 of 2017. GS - not sure if I have the courage to go back into EVR although it made me a package ealier this year but some other old girlfriends tempt me ( RNO, CINE and SEC).

Bought into DX. on Friday and CNS a few days before that. Still holding GLEN among relatively recent buys also.

I've been impressed with LIO for a while. Time to back quiet admiration with hard cash?!

Let us see how the market reacts ( over-reacts) to the RNS. Get a feeling the dividend will be cut.

Optimus - welcome back. Good to see your comments again. Never understood how GBO could be doing so well, so always refrained from buying. I got hit big on FOGLlast week - my own fault and didn't following my increasingly unsettled feeling there. On other news, I now believe aliens exist as one landed in my account last week - completely spooked me and I moved it to another location, somehow feeling it had been beamed-down by accident. Let us see if HMRC-mothership comes to extract it.

Michael Dell's investment outfit buying in over 10%. Someone is confident.

The BoD and project teams in OPG have delivered consistently well in the past. The wider demand for power is clear. I sold out in October just to take advantage of the precipitous fall in GLEN's sp. But I'll be back in soon.
