Ariel - thanks for the update. I've been in HZM and am going to hold for a while longer. Gently encouraging RNS today GS - I'm now trying to whittle down a long list of funds/trusts to a top 3 list for the little dry powder I have at the moment. I'll post them as soon as I drop some actual cash in them. Thanks for your and Optimus's earlier suggestions. Hot - good to pop into the board and see you around. Hallmark, the mine doesn't exist yet, so no cashflow from operations! But clear potential. People are talking softly about HZM on other boards. I'm in and have already doubled. Will be happy if it gets to 10p per share by next summer for starters.

Optimus, Jersey sounds like the right place for champagne and the right drink to declare one's trading ambitions for the remainder of the year! I'm in north-east Brazil at the moment, far from any Guinness and am drinking coconut water - not quite sure what omen that is my investment returns.

Optimus, haha, very good and I wouldn't say you are not warm on the trail even though I'm not a believer in CBT. I'm generally a discourager of people drinking too much white rum but that opens up entirely different and longer stories from a different part of my existence. I'm thinking about switching most of my current SIPP equity holdings into funds and trusts and just being disciplined and patient. Made a good sum from entering GLEN when it was really down, so really want to bank those profits at least into three or four good funds/trusts that will be easier on the nerves. Early, I got confused between the many potential winning funds with Liontrust, so just decided to invest in the firm itself (LIO) which has proved to be a good decision so far. Now time for the bigger transition ( which involves absorbing hits on CLLN, PFC and DX. and not just the GLEN gains). Thanks to you and to GS for sharing holdings. I'm still holding AV. that you guys and Hot were talking about years ago - if only I had pumped much more money into those at 297p and just held, reinvesting the divis?!

GS, what are your current choices and future thoughts on specific funds and investment trusts? I remember every now and then you used to publish a list of funds/trusts held in your wife's SIPP., with Fundsmith Equity being a consistent hold. And am I misremembering but were you looking into some SLE and Polar Capital trusts?

Yes BBOX has done me well in my portfolio but the real winners this year for me have been LIO and BEZ ( as usual). HZM not doing bad either but that is a real gamble and compensation to going in too early with CLLN. Neither a soldier, diplomat, interrogator, smuggler or shorter! I'm called many things across my circle of colleagues/contacts with the most cryptically sinister being "a behaviour-change expert". More revealingly, I drink Guinness or rum and coke, if ever I drink. You can't ask for more openness than that!

Haven't posted in ages as life has been a bit too crazy as have been some of my investing decisions this year ( chasing falling knives, such as PFC, PFG, CLLN, with mixed results). Have done well with adding to LIO and HZM, and have added MCLS and MOSB in recent months. Have been thinking of folding a few things and putting the money into a few trusts, namely Shires Income, Ballie Gifford Shin Nippon and F&C Global Smaller Companies. Hope you are all well and prospering in different ways.

Ctw, you may be right but I think the market is not clear nor convinced by GLIF's strategy, performance nor by its odd relationships or rather attempts are reducing conflicts of interest. The company is and has always been particularly poor at communicating clear and transparent results for all its portfolio. I am not attaching too much faith to its NAV ( due to not being clear about the assumptions, risks and performance of constituent parts of the business ). I'm holding but with a good degree of uncomfortableness and I certainly will not add.
