I have topped up, average is now at 133p a share.....

I dont believe for a second the share price reflects the value of this company....can honestly see this as a takeover target and being taken private at this price, or even a merger with a smaller company where synergies will push the profit margin up.

I actually dont think this will now hit 350p plus but will get taken over before it ever gets to that figure, but it can definitely hit the mid 200s

Theres fear in the markets and transport is the first thing to get hit, first signs of a recovery this thing will be back 200p+ in days.

End of the day - this isnt a 160p a share company when it was mid 400p pre covid.

This thing has got hammered due to US exposure with a risk of 2nd wave, CEO leaving and selling shares.

It hit 270p maybe 5 weeks ago....i dont see how we should of deteriorated by 110p due to those factors.

£90m profit on a company with a market cap of £300m.....so this only has 3 years of life left in it ?

Buy all day from me , smaller companies will go bust and there will be cheap supply of buses , drivers and depots available to take over contracts at higher prices.

£2m traded today on the buys and sells total with the market cap @ just over 1 billion...not even half a % of the value of the company and its moving up and down 5%....shows how volatile things are at the moment on such small volumes traded.

This could move up just as fast as it fell over the last month but need some positive news r.e coronavirus.

Dont think ive ever seen share price action like this, for it to go from 65p to 270p, while it had a fundraising of 220p that was eaten up in no time..followed by the price declining almost every single day for the last month to circa 160p.

Not a single RNS since then other then the CEO standing down and fears over a 2nd wave....

If it was a material threat , NEX would of released a statement downgrading the forecast.

Brought in at 53p, I am currently in National Expresss also, i think the drop against transport has been completely overblown.

Its now way behind the FTSE Index which is already factoring in a lot of fear.

I agree the share price should be lower due to the risk of 2nd wave + current social distancing measures however the price is so far below the 400p it was at pre covid i still think this is at bargain prices and have been topping up...ive been in since the 60-70p lows.

I have to admit the 270p price was to quick, though hurts seeing 100p knocked off the price in a month!

Either way still a strong buy/hold for me.

I expect consolidation in the sector with the weaker firms going bust, the stronger ones like NEX who have monopoly/market dominance will come out stronger post covid and this will be back to 400p (even when considering the dilution) in my opinion.

Though there was so much money made from 60s to 270s, a lot of profit taking made....

Any thoughts on why we are at 189p when we were at 270p not so long ago?

Only change since then has been CEO departure and bit of a worry over a 2nd wave....

Yes, its called fear.

As others have said, they were probably better off announcing either a divi cut with the stated new divi amount or a removal of the dividend all together instead of leaving it the way they did.

Im sure there is some level of price fall or increase based on what the divi action is but hopefully should be small either way.

Its still tiny in comparison to the share price recovering, this thing didnt just fall from the 400-450p highs, it was also on a trajectory over the last few years, so this is not just a recovery stock but also a growth stock. Compound this with the low oil price, the fact that they are still getting some level of revenue even in this lockdown, we have a long way to go yet.

I am not sure if any competitors have been knocked out in the process which would give NEX more market share once everything is back to normal but that is one to think about to.

All depends on how long you want to hold for, if you are looking at price swings day to day, week on week, you will get mixed messages on the performance of the stock.

All you need to do is assess the facts of the company in question and ask yourself, is it good value over time, will it recover, is it cheaper then what it should be. This went from 400p to 70p in a month and now at 195p, you are talking about 195p to 200p swing with a swing of 5p, its completely irrelevant over the long run.

its not a luxury service, its not a nice to have, its transport infastructure required to keep the economy moving, this thing will be above 400p in 1-2 years time no question.

People did the same thing when this was 65-70p and sold at 90p thinking they were heroes, how wrong they were!

a tiny retrace of 10% on a 200%+ rise is nothing, this things going to 400p in a years time.

People keep looking at this as though its X amount away from its high, oil price is a huge factor that doesnt seem to of been factored in with all this virus mess.

behaving like a penny stock with these swings, this was 66p 9 days ago...

Average for me is 119p per share, brought some even today at 204p, then again i got lucky with my initial purchase being 74.5p.

and agreed, theres only a matter of hours over a 5-10 year period where the share prices tank like they did, something like this may never happen again for a long time.....

If you read the last RNS, a lot of the contracts in place are still paying, even if its to a lesser degree, they have plenty of cash to see this virus out, its still a ongoing service due to transporting key workers/infastructure movements.

Basically it was priced earlier atr the 60-70p which is basically insolvency, this is NOT the case.

Compound that with the cost of brent crude, you could argue this should come back higher then what it was pre-virus in a years time.

Just topped up this morning, theres NO reason this wont be 300-400p in 6 months time.

Can someone help me explain how this works where they will fundraise up to £100mill but with the market cap at just over £100mil, the companies basically valued at nothing now if you minus the cash injection?

Sorry just confused, also isn’t there any kind of requirement for them to give us the price at which new potential shares will be issued at or is this at a later stage
