You forget the big issue with regard to the share price in the coming weeks !

The company has already stated it WILL announce details of Shareholder returns within the 2023 results RNS at the end of this month. So we will get details of dividends, share buybacks or both !

Very dangerous for Shorters as in circa 2 weeks this news could ignite the share price to the upside. Imagine a special dividend of 3p. Would cost only 57m (it's doable) 23% return at todays share price.

I would say to shorters "do you feel lucky "

As long as he does not increase the rate of tax, I'm not too bothered if it's 2028 or 2029.

A lot can happen between now and then.

Back to shareholder returns. I think I've got it. Just worked out what I think AB will announce on shareholder returns when the 2023 results come out at the end of this month.

My forecast for 2024 is no dividends but 50m in share buybacks during 2024. Should mean 20% - 30% of shares baught back this year.

For 2025 and beyond, we could see a commitment to return a set % of fcf to shareholders. Like the US and Canadian oil producers do. My guess 50% min fcf returned from 2025. Circa 150m

Why we are down 5.54% @12.80p ???

Easy to say wait another year or so if you have only been invested yourself for a year or two. However for those invested for 5 years or more- we have had enough!

Shareholder returns need to begin now !

Buybacks or divis or a combination, don't care which.

However Shareholder returns are overdue. They need to begin in2024 , now.

At least Commence Buybacks immediately, whilst the share price is so low.

At todays prices AB could buy 200m share Buybacks, equates to 10% of stock for £27m @ SP of 13.5p.

Even better - 20% shares for £54m - share Buybacks NOW AB

All the UK deletions on the list/link you posted follow the same pattern. Huge UT trade and a number of very large off book trades.. On the list are Solgold, Petronas, Enquest etc. Same patterns and all down today by 3 or 4%

Back under 13p now. Knowing our luck we we be back to 12p by Friday's close.

Basically investment worth half what I paid.

I think Enquest will offload the controlling interest in Bressay. Maybe 50% share for 120m or so. would then leave us with 35% share . They may even sell up to 60%.

Although not a free carry it does give us nearly 200m to start the project off, with other partners paying for 65% to 75% of the project.

I'm thinking pre covid (2020) but not by much. Maybe 2018 or 2019. Now this does tie-in with Stevos time line. He first posted under this avatar in 2020. He posts only on a very few boards, oil and gas, obviously Enquest.

If he posted prior to 2020 then he must have used a different name/avatar. What was it ?

The guy prior to 2020 posted facts and figures too, but also laid clever seeds of doubt and negative twists. Just like Stevo.

I believe Stevo has been here before, under a different name prior to 2020. With an agenda. Or did he just see the light in 2020 and began his posting career. Lol.

I seem to remember Enquest paying a nominal amount of 1m for an asset. However not sure if that was for Bressey or Bentley fields.

Looking at POO charts, it seems oil has bottomed too !

Been downward for around 100 days. My thoughts are that we could see a few months of a Bull market for oil, with the normal corrections along the way.

Yes, I agree with you , it is difficult to predict a Moth. You never know where it is and what they are doing. I think that's because they can fly in the dark. Even worse you don't know what jumber they could nibble while resting in your wardrobe. You are right saying December is the worse time for Moths, Heaven forbid it eats your Christmas jumber. That would just leave your pyjamas to wear around the Christmas table. Could be worse, you could own Enquest Shares !
