Wood has issued draft Deloitte review for one reason and one reason only..

Sidara has seen draft review and downgraded offer. Wood is now in damage limitation mode and preparing Wood shareholders for Sidara’s low ball offer of under £1…well below the £2.30 offered last time.

I expect an RNS with Sidara’s offer soon…probably this week. My advice to wood’s CEO and BOD is to accept and recommend Sidara’s offer to shareholders.

Interestingly when I carried out my valuation on Wood on an A4 paper a short while back, I valued it at 85p to 95p. But then placed a premium on Sidara‘s offer to between a low of £1.50 and a high of £1.85 to account for synergies and cost savings to be had.

After yet another poor Wood RNS, I now expect Sidara’s offer is likely to be 85p. Still a nice return for recent shareholders. And definitely a great buy for Sidara!

Wood…what a basket case of an RNS.

Sidara to now offer south of £1. Accepted and recommended by Wood to shareholders. That will be Wood’s monopoly game ‘Get out of jail free’ card.

@Froggleboggles I was in France for a week in March last year and I could not believe it when I saw on. French TV the same footage a few days in a row on French news…footage of when the boats first started to arrive on UK Shores a number of years back and supporters - of which they were only about 10 - were standing holding banners and silver jackets and cups of tea welcoming refugees to the UK (I distinctly remember the footage when it first came out as I thought to myself that the supporters ought to ‘be careful what you wish for’). It was as if the French TV were advertising that the UK wants all refugees. It was very obvious.

@Broomtree Come to think of it I think it was more than £20k. Too many stocks traded to remember! But whatever I posted was the case.

@Broomtree BTW Do not confuse facts to suit your own narrative . My £20k was a top up buy. I have not sold a bean since the Valentine’s Day Massacre as that was when I started to buy. I have a substantial holding and have no intention to sell until the RNS drop…even then I may wait until the transaction between Sidara and Wood actually concludes.

@Broomtree Oh yes I think that was my last buy, but it was only for £20k or so. Don’t think it has hit 35p since then to be fair. Either way I am only interested in the RNS with Sidara’s offer.

@Broomtree. Don't worry Broomtree - I am not serious about a road trip! I don't need more friends - especially friends with names like Broomtree...broomstick maybe, mop-head perhaps...but not broomtree! Lol

Did I call 35p as the low? That's weird - as I topped up significantly in the low-mid 20s and I'm sure I mentioned as much at the time as that was by far my largest set of buys!

Yes indeed fun and games being played with the Wood share price - the mouse-trap has been well and truely in play...slowly, slowly catchy monkey! Lol

Needless to say, smart and savy Wood shareholders will not sell until the RNS that confirms Sidara's offer to buy Wood has been recommended by the BOD of Wood to its shareholders. That is the only RNS that will cause the Wood share price to rocket.

@Coaster Oh you mean my last trade at John Wood Group (JWL - penny dropped!). Yes indeed. I made a far amount back then - very easy pickings...along with many investors at the time. But I invested a small amount into Wood then vs now! Hence, my wife's 'balls of steel comment'! Lol

You can always buy a bottle of wine and enjoy at home. But it pales in comparison with the experience of a road trip with a few mates to the wineries and drinking a bottle or two at the vineyard!

Don't worry about the size of my head - it's all fun and games! That said, my wife says I have 'balls of steel' to invest so much in Wood!

Well I will be in Milan...does that count? Come to think of it, I would like to take a road trip to Las Vegas with a few posters here...

We could take Pensioninvestor's Datsun180B...with Dorothy (with Pensioninvestor's latest squeeze) she can squeeze in the middle of the front seats...she will have a limited view due to Pensioninvestor's fluffy dices hanging down from the rear-view mirror and his Elvis dancing figure stuck to the top of the dashboard!. I will be in the front passenger seat with the window down blasting songs from the 60s and 70s. In the back will be such characters as: IceCool - in the back corner with his shades on thinking about the milage, petrol and other running costs required to get to Vegas. ChartaRex - reading his texts book on the world economy by Warren Buffet. BeardedDragon - looking rather sullen and thoughful about most things dark. IloveSushi - always thoughful and pleasant (Sharebel excepted) will be tucking into some sushi. Broomtree will be assessing everyone in the car as to whetehr or not they're a sinister gangster in disguise or not. Sharebel will be tied up and stowed in the boot (hence Broomtree's thoughts may indeed have merit). Johnychainlocker was invited, but in hindsight decided against it! Lol

@Lokiloo Agreed. The Datsun 180B beings back memories. The sound of a petrol engine, all that noise, and the smell of petrol fumes coming in through the air vents. Built like a tank - a bit like Dorothy really. What's not to like!

Then, when Wood is sold and you bank your profits -you can upgrade your Datsun 180B for a shiny new Tesla and impress Dorothy on your next date to the Ritz! Lol
