@Thedetector. To answer your question about another bidder…
I have mentioned very early on that I think an institutional investor tapped Sidara on the shoulder and said if they were to approach again it is likely that Wood will sell. Hence, Sidara’s approach.
The above is evidenced by Wood’s own RNS which (unlike last time) did not say Sidara’s expression of interest was ‘unsolicited’: Therefore it certainly was solicited, make no mistake about it.
I do not think that any other bidders will come out of the woodwork, especially after the last fewWood RNS releases. In addition, if another bidder entered the frame, it would meant that they too would be in a bidding war with Sidara who already has a significant jump on them in terms of discussions, due diligence etc.
Therefore, I think the only way a new bidder would enter the frame is after Sidara pulls out and they have a clear run. As it stands right now, Wood is not an attractive enough takeover proposition for any new bidder.
More importantly, Sidara is Wood’s natural buyer. It is a proposal to buy all of Wood for cash. Clean simple. That is the best and most desired outcome for both parties.
Sidara has the upper hand in this game of poker and everyone at the table knows it.
