The rain is a right nuisance of late,jobs postponed a d half finished aaaarghhhh. Good time for planting trees though,put in a couple of hundred willows last week,cut sticks straight into the soft ground,cost nought!!

Evening mate. I have actually,one small lot at 130 for the forget about account and the first lot at 133 in the main for the yield. Haven’t gone in too heavy as I’ve still got a load of IFL which went bust,same game I think.

Evening all,hope everyone doing okay. Haven’t done much on shares of late except pocket the divs and watch my specs decrease in value at an alarming rate! I always thought Wassatt was our fiftyish(!) age bracket. Always say hello to his tree at the land.

Don’t know much about them as in whether they really believe in trying to change the planet or if they’re a bunch of rich kids with nothing better to do,either way I agree,have the courage of their convictions and go for it as blocking roads etc just irritates most working people.

Shared interests create a real bond mate. His little place in Northants has loads of wildlife around him and starting to see a lot of small hedgerow birds now the trees have grown a bit,I think he’d like that.

It’s funny how we associate certain shares with certain friends. I’ll always associate Wassers with Tstr/antimony,as well as his cheerful and friendly demeanour on here plus I seem to remember he was instrumental on getting this board sorted out when they changed it all so it’s a kind of legacy in my view. He certainly explained the changeover to me and I loaded it onto a watchlist which for a technophobe like me couldn’t have been easy for him!!
Yep the trees are very good listeners mate!!

I’m sure she’ll pop by at some point mate,at least I’ve got decent divvies which makes up for a lot of it. Tragic accident that,just shows how fragile we are in these machines that have to be respected. I use the chainsaw quite a lot but always have someone with me and am a little scared of it which probably isn’t a bad thing as I don’t take chances.
Say hi to Lego and the rest of the crew from me please mate. Really miss Wassatt being around,I bet you do too. I’ve got a tree and some planting that’s his kind of ‘place’ for me to exchange a few words,good job there’s no one around who might think I’ve finally lost it talking to my trees!!

A bobcat eh,sounds like fun too. I’ve been on a 3 tonne jcb and it can certainly off-road!! Had to be a bit careful on slopes with a full load to tip but they’re like cement mixers,brutally forgiving and real workhorses. P/f yep,I’ve taken a few knocks especially on the tobacco and insurance ones but you just keep going and Lady Luck pops by every so often to keep our interest(whilst losing money overall aaarghhhhh).

Have been dodging the rain and planting willows mostly and building boundary walls,doing a few commercial jobs with the chainsaw and a dumper truck(not at the same time lol). Shares,hmmm,divs and opened a new ‘recovery/spec’ account recently which I seem to be more drawn to than the ‘boring stuff’.

Night all. Wassatt’s trees and a bushy thing I put in same time doing well up here, not much else to say really. Chin up guys,we all miss his cheery persona and I regret posting more when he was around tbh but I’m pleased we did have good chats when he was about lawnmowers etc and divvies even got mentioned at times!!! Thanks for the info on the foxglove trees, I’ll have a word with my landscaper mate on that one,the vast majority of my stock is native and fruit so don’t want to go upsetting them!!

Thanks for that link,I’ll be on the lookout for one or two of those. Tried to grow a similar one, jacaranda a few years ago but no luck,these are hopefully a bit more hardy.

Plus the consumers can take action too as sentiment changed towards fur coats! I’d like to see all the politicians and opinionated so called greens get their spades out,wellies on and pull their fingers out and plant some trees on all the public land doing nothing rather than looking for someone to have a pop at for driving diesel cars whilst they fly around the world on our taxes talking about it!!

Yes we’ll all remember him in different ways, he was always very cheery despite his situation and was kept busy with the shares and all the great people on here too. I planted a tree for him so have a few words when I whizz past on the mower!! Back in somerset for a few days but no lightening here.

Sad day today, will always miss him being around whenever I popped by. Hope everyone doing okay?
