Agreed,too much confusion(...reminds me of a Hendrix line or was it Dylan) with all the HSE stuff, wear all the safety stuff and it probably works for some people but my fear is it makes others think they’re safe when they’re not...using a chainsaw leaps to mind!
Next year,hmmmm,if anyone had predicted this year last year they’d have called in the white coats! I guess we roll with the punches(and accumulate loo rolls!!).

Good moves there mate. Didn’t really get too heavy in anything,went for less in more,mixed and matched,dabbled in the travel stuff a few times, including finally making a decent turn on saga, or rather got lucky on that spike into the threes then back again and had a good chunk of those pressure technology ones and a few others that seemed down there but keeping a discipline on not selling the best ones when they hit profit is difficult cos I still suffer that angst as most do of seeing a profit dwindle away and back to a loss but the thought of divs and future divs keeps my attention hence why I’ve been stocking up on the reits,HSBA,insurers etc.
Got some hefty losses still on petrofac and imb but at least the latter still pays a decent divvy, the former heaven only knows if and when that’ll come good plus just took up the OO on Eddie stobart and extras with my eyes half shut!
Machines all well and good but my best tool is an ancient bulldog spade which goes everywhere with me(at the land that is!!).
I’ve helped a mate out on jobs with chunky dumper trucks which are great fun but can’t get my head around the diggers with all those levers and coordination required, a bit like trying to figure out how to tune the tv etc...best left to people who know lol

Very kind of you to say mate!! Just on the outskirts of town but five minutes drive to the land so it works well, although having to be a bit careful with the waterlogged ground at the moment!!
My preference has always been quality yielding boring stuff at rock bottom prices so in that respect I’ve loaded up nicely this year and trimmed some hefty losses on paper too. Done a few specs here and there but always seem to get hammered by the spreads and liquidity so don’t bother so much and focusing on future yields and recoveries.....it would have been fantastic if none of us owned any shares and bought everything in March and April this year lol!!

Evening all,hope everyone doing okay? Had a busy couple of months and finally got moved near my beloved trees which are getting a good watering it has to be said. Tinkered around with a few shares but mostly boring ones and thankfully starting to see a few albeit reduced divs trickling in.

No it was the triumph 2 litre one,like a spitfire but hard top and a bonnet bulge, almost a baby e-type. Sold it for 500 quid.....should have kept it but got so fed up with it breaking down all the time and bought a grown up car instead. Night mate

One of my favourites from back in the day was the GT6...had a mark two and a three, cost a fortune to keep it on the road and I remember an mg metro beating me off the lights....I didn’t want to push it obviously!!!! Mind you if I’d floored it I’d have probably left half of it behind!!

I’ll need a longer drill and better equipment lol. Mind you it does explain why my most recent attempt at digging a new pond didn’t work as the rock is like a colander!! Nice colours sometimes with those metallic veins running within it.
