Perhaps it’s just the MM s knowing exactly when and how to flush out the sellers and suck in buyers, regardless if tonight’s news is underwhelming or out of this world.
I hope it’s not the former as you can bet the house they will read the sentiment and test a few nerves tomorrow.

You will always find MMs who are way way off the bid and offer. Usually because they are not really interested in competing with the others for business , they will generally be trading flat and only on behalf of their own clients who if give them an order will actually buy or sell with another MM by acting in a principal capacity and fill the client order on an agent basis. They make a turn and therefore do not charge the client commission.
The 20p offer does not necessarily indicate their target price nor would their bid price which I would guess is probably around the 20p mark

I reckon MM s wanted a few shares, which they got but on the way up still managed to turn about 15m and make a profit on that too. Probably offload the 10 or so million collected today when they pull the sp back for some time tomorrow. All games till actual news.

That would be on the offer, means as much when they were offering at 10 when the MMs who wanted to do business were offering at 8

Commerford, do not take their criticism to heart as you summary of the absurd was spot on, it’s just many on here do not like anything that they perceive to be negative.
If there is such a meeting it really is a pity his cousin/contact who bought 100 Million , yes 100 Million Newcrest shares is not allowed to ask questions , only take notes. I think it will be a pretty quiet meeting/call !!!

Absolutely correct, I said this a few weeks ago we no longer attract the herd as the perceived risk factor to them is to high. Also said we are better for it as this share will advance on hard news from now on.

Mickey, if the They that you refer to is GGP they will not be appointing an Aussie entity as their broker.
MHO1. I am far from negative on GGP but not tolerant of posts full of contradictions that do not make sense.
Same goes for Mercedesman the other day saying all in with house and other shares etc packed in his 9 to 5 and taking a wage out of GGP, much to the delight of a couple of new investors. Roll on a day and Merc is contemplating topping up his GGP. Oh and on another board telling them he is trying to top up that stock.

Ffs you said in this thread it was for IIs to get awareness of NCM so they cannot already be NCM investors.
PS usually Institutional and private investors prefer to fire questions at the company that is being pitched, in this case NCM Australia. Not a small UK AIM company FFS x 10

Does it not cross anyone’s mind that it would be a bit of a slap in the face for the majority if GGP have agreed to some kind of phone in for a select few shareholders that via their broker will have access to the GGP board.
