Interesting what's being said about LFP batteries and worth noting now that LiCO3 has recently surpassed LiOH for commodity price . I wonder if one product will become dominant or they will both be used?
Hopefully not too much more downside to the share price but its a strange market at the mo with this cryptocurrency storm. Not a lot of patience on AIM

When HE1 were initally going to drill Rukwa - back in 2018, I have:
Industrial gas royalty - 3%
inspection fees - 1%
'Carry' for the govt - 16%
Would these kind of govt costs be the norm for smallcap miner ? and what exactly does 'carry' mean in this context ?

The 3% royalties are claimed for the MSB concessions - la Ventana and La Ventana 1
Although disputed, the company has always included them in all finance dealings and projections. Should be a positive when it's sorted.

L2 - this case is still ongoing. Was due to be heard in Alberta courts but delayed for covid. I think there is an initial hearing to establish grounds for any subsequent action? U could try and track it thru court schedules I assume, but I gave up after too many internet dead ends.

Obviously there have been issues here, whether the timing is right now with HE prices, the govt has become more receptive - ''Tanzanian govt has turned around in last 6mths'' or maybe just a case of now or never and the Attis deal fell at the right time?

From energy -pedia I have that HE1 were in advanced discussions with a US O&G company to drill at Rukwa - this was in 2018
Solo was a major shareholder in HE1 at the time and there seems to have been an IPO raising money from ''australian, asian and african investors'' . The next year Solo loans a lot of money, buys into gas fields in Dutch waters thru an RTO and re-names itself Scirocco. What happens to HE1 fom this point? The trail goes cold until this new IPO and a listing on AIM.
From this 2018 article we also have that Tanzanian govt will take an indutrial gas royalty of 3% but also a 16% carry for the govt? and a 1% inspection fee are now set in Tanzanian law - I'm assuming that these still apply .
What's happened inbetween times?

2 interviews on you-tube worth a look. Proactive have a short one with Ian Stalker who says the seismic gear is being shipped. CEO has gone out to Tanzania for 3mths so could assume assay drilling will start in that time?
I found crux interview with CEO quite useful as well and he talks about timelines there.

todays price 65500 chinese yuan per tonne = 9825 usd per tonne? Price looks to have bottomed out thru last year and now rising sharply. Was average of 13000 usd per tonne thru 2019 and higher in previous years. Make your guess for the price in 2023 :)

@ johnnychainlocker - Ganfeng are listed on Shenczen (my spelling) index, which is probably a nightmare to deal with . Also, they did an IPO in 2018 to get them onto the HK index . IPO for @20HK$ price today just shy of 120HK$ .
At the time on this board everyone was saying what a steal Ganfeng got with the BCN deal - so we all should have researched and found the best way to buy into Ganfeng . Hinsight 20/20 vision and all that. Good luck with u'r new investment . EMH seem to be flying and we're still looking for the runway ?!

i don't think Ganfeng havedone anything wrong here - its just good business and timing on their part. They bought in at project level SLL, and company level. The money put into SLL should stay with SLL. Why these companies have to subdivide themselves ? tax efficient ? must be some financial advantage.
What i should have done when the Ganfeng deal was announced was to buy shares in Ganfeng - i assume thats relatively easy if they're listed on the HK echange? has anybody here done that?
My gut feeling is the that BCN could have got the offer away at a higher price (low 50's?) but i still think we will push the £1.00 mark this year IF they get a shift on. BCN seem content with 2023 (PS quote -' forget about 2021/22') but I don't see any advantage in trying to 2nd guess the lithium market. The money's there so get on and build it !

@pd99 No - is the short answer. They tried to resolve it without resorting to the courts but as of last interim report this was due to go thru legal system(in Alberta? i think). This is delayed because of covid but is still 'live'

BCN have been saying final funding will be sorted after the engineering design work had been finalised. We havn't seen notification of this work yet but you would have to assume that, with this raise, BCN are confident of the capex needed to get it done.
Ganfeng did an IPO when they listed on HK exchange in 2018 - offer price @20 HK$ . Share price today about 6X that. Smooth operators.

just seen the finance RNS after that post. Hopefully some momentum now for a Q2 commencement
