No 20 mile tunnels inolved here Seaangler. Surface mining. EMH is the European alternative but that is a more difficult mining process. They could both do well but my money is here. As with all mining projects - gotta get it out of the ground first !

Thanks Lupidog, I assumed it was bought by iron/steel manufacturers but see now that is not necessarily the case. Since the ID of the major buyer was a secret, I guess what they were using it for would not be clear also !! Sales update mid Jan?

Zinwald could possibly be a buyout target. The solarworld half would certainly be of interest and it seems the administrators are able to play a waiting game. Good volumes here last few days. I wonder if Antharry has sold up yet! Do you still look in Antharry :) Well played sir

Thx Jimb2. For me, the key to Zinnwald is who has control of the 'Solarworld half'. If a big player such as Tesla comes in, then the project could be progressed very quickly. We had the option over it , but the way the market went, it was always too expensive. With hindsight, if BCN had held on for a year they could have got a much better deal with Ganfeng, but then, with hindsight, I'd have done a lot of things differently as well. I can't fault them, and fair play to Ganfeng. Lets hope for some Sonorra RNS's and get us back to 80p

BCN had planned to go with carbonate but i think now they have an option to produce hydroxide as well. Both are used in EV batteries. I think I read ZNWD is best suited to produceLithium Flouride - don't quote me on that one tho'

you timed that pretty good @wolfi ! Not a great believer in charts myself but if enough people/algorithms follow them then they will fulfill their own prophecy . Of course, what we really needed was a chart 5 years ago to tell us - forget this until it drops 70% ,then fill ya boots :)

some good posts on the ZNWD board about the 'other half' that still belongs to solarworld creditors. There is a lot that could happen with this asset, and as pointed out, the German govt will be keeping a careful eye on what does happens . I think BCN have made a good decision to spin it out - could become quite complicated !

I thought EMH to be the better hedge - basically same resource as zinwald but bigger scale and more progressed. I think Ganfeng have called this right - look at the timing for them - you couldn't have called it better from their point of view; and it seems they have faith in the clay resource which is unproven as yet.

johnpw - back in Jan 18, when the Next View deal was being finalised, u could say our Mcap was £172M (from £1.30 sp). An equivalent Mcap today would give a share price of 77p. I would argue that with added market sentiment and more certainty in progress u could increase that somewhat. Not saying it will go there in a straight line, but 80s /90s would be my 6 -9 mth target

the comparison of the resource across the border (info from respective co's) Cinovec 7.18Mt LiCa equivalent ....Zinwald 757144 tonnes. So much bigger the other side, but still projected 30 year mine life 'our' side

Would Tesla/vw be interested in buying out the other half of Zinwald from the solarworld creditors? I have never found a lot of info about the other 50%. I know that BCN had an option to buy but I think it was 20Mil Euros? option lapsed because the market didn't catch up in time. Does anyone know if the resource at Zinwald is the same quality/quantity as the resource EMH have over the border? Lots of questions - sorry, but someone wil know :)

The Erris shares will be diluted somewhat with the capital raise that they propose. How much market cap would Erris be set up at prior to the raise ?? Is there a time limit for the solarworld administrators to try and sell the other half, or will they just sit on it ?

Very fair comments today @addinkt - and welcome. In defence of the company I would ask where are all the free-world investors? This resource is massive and should have been financed ages ago. The only ones to (hopefully) front up have been the Chinese. If they got it cheap then so be it. Everybody else has had ample opportunity to get involved. Cannot understand why some of the big carbon fuel companies don't take a slice. All comments both pro and anti are always welcome in a democracy ; )
