I think the bullish posts on Tin/Tungsten last night by cornishknocker have swung this decision to go all in at Redmoor - well played Cornish.
By the way has anyone heard this rumour that the burgeoning Chinese middle class has developed a taste for top quality tungsten jewellery? Can't remember where I read it, but I'm sure it's true ;)

Thanks Cornish, always interested to see your posts, also Troajan, the Chinese seem to be massive players here, both as producers and suppliers. One interesting fact I read was that the US, although they weren't mining Tin, was still a big supplier, simply because they re-cycled so much
Potentially a very big resource we have in Cornwall. I like this company, they seem to have a well thought out plan, If they can get the timing right re supply and demand it will be a good investment.

Just doing a bit of research before I buy a few more and started reading about Tin and Tungsten and their uses.
SML advertises itself as a prospector of battery materials but although Tin combines readily with Lithium there seems to be problems with the combination. It seems that Lithium, Nickel and Cobalt are the desired metals for LI-ion batteries.
I can see an increased demand for Tin as the electrical industry as a whole grows - simply because of increased soldering use. The Tin price seems to have stabilised now into low 20's (dollars) but spiked to 30 as a rebound from the 2008 crash. Before that in the 90's early 00's it was depressed for ages after the international Tin market fell apart in the 80's - leading to the closure of the last Cornish mine.
This is just me doing a bit of googling, but what do people think/feel about the future use and demand for Tin; also how much value does the Tungsten presence bring to Redmoor. I see that the Hemerdon Tungsten mine (in Devon I think) was re-opened in 2014 due to increased prices but then closed again in 2018. Interestingly, the mineral is considered a strategic material by the American govt and can't be traded as a commodity.

I have also that Estate owned 8.15% of shares at the time they commenced their royalty claim - sep '17 ; and then the rns from BCN which you posted that puts them down to 2.3%.
Maybe they're selling their shares to pay their legal fees!
Its still a drain on us though until it gets sorted and the Estate must think they have some chance of securing the royalties.
One thing's for sure: All those lawyers are making a fair bit more money than I am with these shares at the moment

there are a couple of downsides worth noting for completeness Coffee:
kdnc still holds @6.5M shares. They have sold 3 x 1.5M tranches since last Oct and may well sell more. There seems to be some bad blood between the two companies.
Colin orr-ewing, the founder of the company died in 2016 but his estate still holds a lot of shares in the co. At the moment there is a court case over disputed royalties owed to the orr-ewing estate.
The Zinwald project although we have an option to buy the other half, the cost of that option is set at 30M E, so not viable. Interestingly, if we do not take up the option then Solarworld(who are now bankrupt) can have it for peppercorn cost.
Funding is the big issue and we took a big hit when Chinese co Next View backed out of a seemingly completed deal just over a year ago.
After that deal went wrong the co employed Citigroup to help get the finance sorted. A lot of extra cost here.
If funding can be sorted by q2 as promised then price will move fast. Worth a bet at these levels, but I need 50/60p before I see profit

The ceo of Hercules capital has 'stepped down' after his envolvement in a cheating scandal. Money was paid to get students into college places by fixing the results of their entrance exams. I don't think it will be too much of a worry for us but not good news. My initial reaction was - you just couldn't make this stuff up.

L2, It's cos the uncrossing trade was messed up on Fri. Closed about 5% lower than it should have. The last Cadence dump of 1.5M shares dropped this 6% and we've been dropped another 6% on no volume since. Market expects another dump; lets hope we get some news soon. We need something please Mr Secker.

I don't know when they came off AIM although they're still on NASDAQ, but GW pharmaceuticals have been as low as 8.81 (2013) and as high as 172(2018). Now trading close to high, I only know this co' because they're based (or were) close to me, in Salisbury. They are concerned with making cannabinoid drugs for treatment of epilepsy etc. You will have to google and find other co's yourself but there will be some. There will also be just as many, or more, that have come to nothing.
With small caps if you pick 5, 2 fail completely, 2 do nothing but 1 goes up 400% you will still be a winner. Spread your risk or be lucky! don't bet(invest) more than you can afford.
I am holding here. Previously I would have hoped for 70/80p now I will be happy with 40p . At these prices its a gamble because as PI's we have such little info into whats happened at the FDA.
One important lesson to learn: Some people made a lot of money here getting in at 5p and then getting out at 10p plus. Have they come back in again though?

wolfi, there's an interview with secker on proactive investors from Dec just gone where he says he would like to 'spin out'' Zinwaaald so that it operates separately. I would prefer it to be sold off but I'm not sure how easy that will be given the whole site option and the now defunct Solarword. I was trying to think who PS reminded me of, then it came to me - Yuri Geller! I don't think we're quite at the stage where we need magic but it won't be long.

they had 9.3M in Oct, down to 7.9M in Jan, now down to 6.5M if I'm reading it right; in other words we've still got pain to come. On the flip-side at least someones buying them

just did a back of envelope tally up since 18th feb and theres 3 times more buys than sells by volume (difficult to mis-record them because of the spread) but during this time the price has been dropped a good 25%. Although the co is still ''dead man walking'' there's been some fairly serious money put in here - and by my reckoning its still here.
Any guesses anybody?

you seem to have a more optimistic outlook than me B'sUp . I couldn't see a reason for the drop yesterday until those delayeds turned up. We'll be the last to know I expect. Still, onwards and..........upwards? Cheers

my point is though, that for PIs trying to research their investment, all available information is useful, be it pro or anti. All Northern explorer was doing on this board was repeating that wiki entry, maybe he's spun it a bit but essentially that's what he's done. I hope the drug gets approval because otherwise I've lost a lot of money but with hindsight you would have to say that the message boards for Mtfb and Amp were guilty of a pro bias and it has cost us. Anyway, fingers crossed, things will come good and worse case I've learnt an expensive lesson.

Ian, have a read of the Wikipedia entry for iclaprim. To quote from the entry:

Now, I'm not saying that Wiki entries are gospel truth but I do say that there is no evidence to suggest that they are any more or less true than what you or Ivy or any one else is saying. The references for this particular wiki entry are listed. I wanted to be able to read ref 9 but I cant get it. But have a read of ref11 - interesting - it is about Merserax which I assume Arpidia was going to name the drug for the European market.

did a bit of googling. Seems that we bought our half for 5m euros with the proviso that another 5m was spent on a feasibility study. Solarworld AG is now bankrupt but then operated under new identity Solarworld gmbh. BUT Solarworld gmbh filed for insolvency itself in March 2018.
What I take from this is that Solarworld themselves will never have enough funds to mine the site and the best they can do is sell it on. It maybe that this 24 month option we have is blocking any sale, especially if it runs to Q3.
For us at the moment 30m E would obviously be of more use getting Sonora up and running. Best scenario for us would be to get a new JV partner to buy out solarworlds half and bring in some of their own money.
Hopefully all these things are under discussion. This year will be make or break I think. Hopefully we're at the bottom now. I need something to come good cos I've had a shocker on this one and mtfb.

As I understand it Bacanora entered into an agreement to acquire 50% stake in Zinwald in Feb 2017. At this time they had the option to acquire the other 50% for 30million euros; but that option had a lifespan of 24 months.
Seeing as our M cap is around this level at the moment I can understand it does not make sense to try and buy the other half. Has the option now expired ? and if so will other big players be looking to buy it ; perhaps with an eye on taking over our half?
I take it the remaining half still belongs to Solarworld but I don't know if they are still solvent or a going concern.
Thoughts anyone?

To close Swindon car plant so that 'they can concentrate more on EV development' . Lithium demand will come but timing is everything. This will motor if the finance gets sorted. Come on car producers lets get this show on the road.

just looked in because there was a mini write up in the observer today. Seems to have been doing very nicely thank you. One problem for a small time PI like myself is the cost of a share: 480 quid for one? what was the reasoning behind that pricing structure?
