A video from last summer that I found quite useful. Think there will be more finance required which is suggested here. What is actually required is vague and its complicated by the number of different players and their agreements.
Note that PS is a bit evasive when asked 'what are u doing now, in this period before construction'
My concern is that this is Ganfengs '2nd project' and they will not concentrate on it until Caucheri- Olaroz is finnished. The timeline I have for that is end of 2021, but these things have a predictable habit of getting pushed back.
I still think we could push £1.00 this year but they have to announce start of construction. In this vid he says Q1 2021 which will be missed, and they deserve to be cut some slack for covid. Q2 this year? We shall see

@Tivman - Correct - 74M shares in SLL , so doesn't affect the ZNWD holding and the dilution in the whole company would reflect this

i think not so much Ganfeng but the red tape that they have to cut thru with the Chinese Communist Party.

13th Nov 2020 Ganfeng announces take up of 50% option
end of Feb 2021 signed off by CCP ? that's if it takes the same time
Really, this RNS is just treading water; I just hope BCN have all their ducks in a row so that they can crack on when the news drops. The price movement today shows how hungry this market is for news.
Don't forget we will be diluted to the tune of 74M shares when this happens - but price will almost certainly rise

over the last few mths there has generally been more money traded with this stock than the associated co's - ZNWD, KDNC, EMH. Do u mean u would expect to see much more volume with BCN ?
Investors in ZNWD would not have done much research if they didn't know about BCN.
All mentioned need news to shift them: build it and they will come :)

'why would they go to the trouble to increase to 50% last year' - because they correctly predicted an industry wide share price spike was coming and got in while it was cheap?
Can't fault Ganfeng on their timing so far - it's much better than mine with this stock. We still await confirmation that the 50% has been finalised with China govt.
My understanding from interviews with PS is that BCN want the full amount of finance needed to build the project before they start. This surprises me. If they have 3/4 of the finance can't they start and sort out the rest on the way?
News to come: 50% confirmation; engineering, procurement and construction plan; finance needed by BCN to complete this plan; construction starts - Q2/Q3 ?

Share hunter - big trade at last orders - looks like a buy at that price. Could drift a bit without news but i'm not confident enough of that happening to trade it.

Malik, you are right, in an ideal world a combination of EMH, Zinwald and the solarworld creditors all working together to extract the resource is the best case scenario but it is far from an ideal world. It comes down to finance and timing and really P Secker was up against the wall with both. Ganfeng got a great deal but all the other players had their chance and they didn't want to get involved. We had whispers that Southern Copper were interested but where were Albermarle or the other big guns?
I can't see Ganfeng being interested in Zinwald - its too small for them. German govt possibly. You have to ask yourself why EMH didn't make an approach? they know the resource better than anyone. Finance I expect, they havn't got it, and they need to get some of this stuff out of the ground while the sentiments with us- much like ourselves

@ janner - Net Present Value represents VERY roughly the total incomes against the total outgoings over the course of the mine life brought to a present day worth. This resource is so large and would take so long to extract that the figure becomes pretty meaningless in my opinion. If the company was completely risk free then yes - shareprice would be much higher. We are only really at design stage, the more tangible progress we make the more the price will rise. There is still much progress to be made.

in the rns 30th sep - interim report - it says Bacanora retains right of refusal. I never find these communications to be very clear so i recommend read thru yourselves. Remember also that the proposed cost has always been 30 million euros . That has now been cancelled but you would imagine Solarworld creditors have that as a ball park figure?

i've topped up on the basis of those out of hours trades last couple of days - feels like somethings gonna land - and we are due Q4 project news. The small trades, i don't know, if they're automated how can they influence price? If u believe the trade data i'd be one of the biggest buyers today and i doubt that very much. Lets see what turns up out of hours this afternoon. Hold for £1 plus by summer.

@nomadic - you would imagine that KDNC only get involved financially if and when the jv concessions start to be developed; and then they would contribute 30% of the costs to take 30% of the revenues. I see your point that this becomes tricky if the plant and processing from stage 1 ventura is then used to work stage 2. It may take many years before the jv concessions start to be mined - we'll have to see if we get a better picture in the now overdue Q4 update on the process.
I don't see KDNC's involvement being a problem, jv's seem to be the norm with miners.

@joesnatch 100,000tonnes concentrate would produce 15,000 t lithium - source David Archer CEO SAV. Have to be careful with the figures from the different operations; in general the industry would quote as lithium carbonate equivalent, but here he just says lithium.

@Barksy - If u really wanted to go digging, the JV agreements (2 apparently?) are outlined in ''companies admission document dated 21st of July 2014'' Good luck with that :)
To my knowledge there has never been an official recognition that the COE dispute has been resolved, but it would appear that it has been?

the regular posters on BCN seemed to think this was a non-issue; and that was probably about 2 years ago. The best i could come up with was that the matter would be settled outside of court - again, a while ago. Seems to have quietly disappeared without any fuss, and i think Ganfeng will have done their due dilligence. To be fair tho' , the price they got in at , it would still be a good deal if they had to forfeit 3% ! smooth operators!

Are you guestimating 80/20 Mcap split between Olaroz/Nevada? I would say something along those lines. Nevada project will need financing with probable JV. I am surprised that albemarle's name is rarely mentioned with regards these projects, I do think that there has been reticence to get involved with these clay projects simply because they are not tried and tested at scale, but as Li price rises that reticence will disappear.
