Hi Colour that's interesting. Regards China I did say a while back I felt this a white elephant. China take tech , reverse engineer it and make their own. Its like the Wild West regarding copyright. That was always my fear with China.

Pete640, I think there will be a special divi but not sure it will be as big as some think. As with all dividends once the money leaves the company the share price usually reflects this by the same margin. If AV are to buy I would be surprised if it's a General Insurer, more likely a pensions business or a merger with one of the bigger pension players.
PBoyd like you I don't think buybacks do anything for the share price and don't particularly like them. As you suggest Cevian seem to want more control and are putting their money on the table to achieve this.
Been and will continue to be a LTH myself . I still wouldn't be surprised if they sell the GI side and concentrate on pensions, maybe buy someone with the existing cash plus whatever they achieve from a GI sale. All speculation on my part of course. I am please though that AB has at least got hold of things and seems to slowly be turning this supertanker around!

Morning Tony. It's not as easy as just reshaping the board. When a board is built it needs to be designed and the tracks/ components etc laid out before it gets anywhere near to being built. Generally a prototype will be built with some flexibility prior to full production. The final product though,is just that. I have seen PCBs that for example have slots and plugs to add other component boards. If the actual size of the board needs reducing this would usually be a redesign, often, for example ,the next version of the board might be smaller. It's not just "chopping a bit off" though. Having smaller PCBs also can introduce it's own problems. Either the meter manufacturers make some space, an enclosure is used to mount the board or a redesign. As I am unsure of the exact issues CC face with the size though ,it's difficult to say. Off course this is just my take on the issue.

The balance sheet is the one thing any investor should be looking at, it's a reflection of how the company is performing. Ignore it at your own risk.
It's good to see other contracts outside India which I view as a positive, time will tell of course and hopefully will not take as long to deliver benefit,if they turn out like India I think that's it.
I'm not sure the amount of cash flowing out to directors reflect their delivery but that if course is my opinion ,others may have a different view.
I probably have and can afford to have a more flexible view with my average. One thing I have learnt over the years is to take undeniable facts first and not to put to much credence on what brokers and directors say. Words can be taken to mean anything the author or reader want them to say.

Hi Tony just a quick one. Which brokers are you referring to? I would be interested to read their rationale behind their thoughts. According to this site one Broker rates CC a Buy but no target. Never take to much notice of brokers/analysts as they are rarely right and seem to make it up as they go along.

Better than stuffing your pockets with cash lol. Like you say ITT it's tough at the top.

From reading this it seems you basically need to be involved in the Green Tech area to qualify. I've read the complete document but will keep my thoughts to myself .......

Morning Tony. Like I say I'm more than happy with my position. I've always tried to get my original stake back as soon as possible and never fall in love with any Aim share. Long term is about blue chips for me. Yes you may lose on an Aim company being taken out and a multi bagger but how many times does that happen? It's all about timing,softly softly catchee monkey.
I do agree about our friend though ,I don't even think he likes himself lol.
Another order on a Monday is nice but I'm afraid I do agree with Colour, judging by the order quantities to date it does appear a niche solution, let's hope the price and profit margin reflect this ,time will of course will tell. GLA.
