I think BT will remove itself as a content provider within 18 months. Probably see a tie up offering with a content provider.
As some on here suggested yesterday there is a finite amount of new content out there with the exception of maybe sport. Broadband and Comms will always be a requirement,be it for mobiles,TV or business etc, my view is BT in the future will become the National Grid of the Comms industry.

Makes me smile how Sky sell this as new tech. Freesat was built into TVs 10 years ago and this is little more than that. Their sell as a green option falls down when the smallest set has a G rating for energy and the next model up an F.
It's a TV on HP with chargeable add ons to get you a basic service as is usual with Sky.......move along ,.nothing to see here.

Check on the small print and the packages you need to subscribe to........anyone remember the Kirby Cleaner or Amway salesmen? Think that's who the guy must have worked for lol. Personally wouldn't touch Sky with the proverbial bargepole. Give it 12 months before subscribers start complaining .

One big advantage BT has for me is their app works perfectly. Sky Go is rubbish. Buffers and freezes all the time and Sky do nothing about it. Add to that the appalling customer service compared to BT I don't think BT need to worry.

Just awaiting the "surprise" massive buy over the next day or two. Agree with fleccy the news is old so not sure why it would result in such a large drop. Unless there is something in the background we don't now about I'm ignoring old news. Some will get a bargain here.

One could be forgiven thinking certain parties want BT to fail fleccy.
I also read the judgement and believe there is no case to answer. No doubt law firm Mishcon de Reya and ex Ofcom employee Justin Le Patourel will be getting well paid for their services. BT should fight this all the way. There were plenty of options out there if customers were not happy.
