RE: Question12 Jan 2023 08:12
Morning ITT.
I would guess for compliance,CC would have to announce at the point the contractural commitment is signed off by the company purchasing CCs product. CC are just a provider to the larger entities for a specific part of the solution.
I have been involved with larger projects. Often a main contractor takes overall responsibility and provides a tender price to the client. The main contractor then gets bids for the various packages from a number of specialist companies on a bid basis. The main contractor then "value engineers" the tenders and manages these through the main contract. Until such point that one of the subcontract specialists are given a formal contract they haven't actually won the bid. On that basis
(CC being a subcontractor) wouldn't need to report as they haven't formally won the bid.
The HSL link was from December 2022 so recent. The question for me is , has the work commenced? If so who,s tech are they using? HSL could well be doing the preliminary works and not placed an order for the chosen Comms solution yet. My guess is HSL are at project preliminary/implementation stage. If using CC ,no doubt discussions have already taken place regarding supply. Maybe that was one of the further contracts JC was alluding to.
All of the above is only supposition of course. JC knows what bids CC are in and this stage and where they are currently sitting.
I always thought any significant orders would be Q2/3 this year as I suggested when the approvals were finalised last year. I still stand by that timescale, anything earlier will be a bonus.
