My take is somewhat more simplistic. Cyan have ,in some cases been asked to provide additional functionality by the end user that is above and beyond what Omni can achieve without further development costs. Not all end users will require these functions and won't want to pay the additional cost for them. CC has I imagine therefore sourced the required component from elsewhere. This is not unusual. Most manufacturers these days buy in components made by speciality companies. Why would CC spend big bucks on R and D for what might be only a small percentage of their own deliverable? Silicon labs are specialists at what they do and keeping costs down is a numbers game. I have attached a link for the case study which I think explains. A company can have a FA with more than one supplier and a supplier can have a FA with more than one company. I still think CCs FA puts them in a good position though It agrees what is effectively the terms of contract /cost etc should they be successful.

Not quite sure what the Adami issue has to do with the RNS ball5 up? The issue with Adami will not be resolved quickly .
Like ITT it worries me that people who are supposedly professional cannot seem o do the most simplistic of tasks. The frustrating thing is the final draft should be signed off by JC before release and NOT amended by a third party.
The question I have is did JC actually read the draft given to him thoroughly before signing of for release? ( I would assume this were the case) or was it just a scan read and assumption it was ok? I find it hard to believe an external company working for CC would have changed it of their own accord, if they did they need kicking out the door.

Makes me wonder Lti. Does our news today put us at an advantage with what could be further opportunities? We don't know who the Framework Agreement is with as yet unfortunately, it does however allow that client to move rather quicker to progress any further work.
The companies involved in the cancelled tenders are not going to want to be left behind. I have been watching this news story develop hence had a further couple of top ups.
The RNS this morning could have even larger implications for CC in relation to this news story. My other consideration is that those in the political arena are not going to want the embarrassment of further significant delays.
