Yes a merry xmas to you all - owning this share has been a slow road to investing hell. Worst thing has been two boards’ worth of directors insane optimism about RPL’s future. More dilution, more studies, new options, small director purchases to encourage PIs, higher salaries. I will be here till the end but there must now be enough science to adjudge whether this is a winner or not - the sp sadly seems to be providing the answer. Anyway some familiar names here over the years wish you all the best and see you at the AGM - I guess whilst we are in business there is still hope and the directors have always seemed genuine

Rhodi. It is as you said no meaningful news well into next year so why would you buy now. Sells are small so of little concern - pis selling to invest elsewhere. For me and it has been the case for a very long time nothing shown by the many studies successfully undertaken has convinced big Pharma to invest. Is that because vrp think it is so valuable the sums offered have been derisory -if that is the case would they have diluted at under 3p. . Also why massive ceo salary if company had real prospects, was he going to leave. Anyway as you know too much tied up in this financially and emotionally to pull out. Let us hope. All the best to you, bh, d and other lynx who have grown old on this board not to mention c2 who I fear is no longer with us

I would ignore bogs and others who criticise. No one ever really knows what Is going on in the background and I for one enjoy your posts. Both you and bh go back a long way and therefore have a unique perspective on what the company says and does. I think you are spot on - absurd salaries and to take that many people to New York when the company has diluted and diluted plus our effective head of science leaving - all reasonable observations. Clearly no selfish agenda as you both hold shares so in fact you could say the opposite. Keep posting my friend. Hopefully the science will continue to hold up and rpl will be differentiated enough from the strong products already on the market and others on the way that we wake up one day with a great rns and finally, something to celebrate. Shares now too diluted for this ever to be a monster but still a lot of potential. All the best

I have only one significant investment and it is VRP. I have been invested here a very long time so no angle to play. The lack of significant progress has never made sense despite endless successes at trial. You then read tonight in bus section of ES that glaxo have had approval for new three in one inhaler for chronic lung disease and even if a different drug in terms of its market (?) it explains why we lost our expert to gsk. It has been so, so many years - what do we have in rpl

welcome news but same old as you say rhodi - the dilution here has been frightening and with our current market cap you are right without a partnership if we go it alone our many years of patience and support will yield nothing financial for early investors but hopefully perhaps an improved product for copd/asthma sufferers. good to see some blue but have read this rns several times and can't see anything mind blowing that we didn't know before - does anyone better informed see anything... As to the interesting point about out-sourced work - I am a partner at a large firm of solicitors and I know out sourcing can be better value if the work is controlled and directed. You have none of the in house problems of poorly performing/absent staff and costly bureaucracy of bloated in house teams - just my view and it was an interesting observation. anyway wander if this will fall back today - if it goes on to climb higher 'might' be the start of something although whether like you Rhodi I am around to see this ever get anywhere is a moot point. is the perfect word rhodi, I don't think anyone pays any attention to their rhetoric any more. Still holds promise obviously but promises have been made over many, many years which sound exciting at the time but have all been made before. The only thing that has gone up are salaries - surely where every pound in salary comes at the cost of dilution if this company had a product the board believed in why not take a bigger chunk of what they are paid in options. Anyway I know I am bleating - optimism and pessimism seem to follow the daily sp's on any of these boards so apologies for the drivel GL to all here - would love that celebratory beer and a puff on our new inhaler before heading out into the London traffic...!

Be grateful you didn't like me buy all the way up to 16p old money first time good results came out. One thing I can say is that current management may well have saved us from closing doors but too many over the top claims made at the AGMs I went to. A lesson learnt in many different ways including not to trust my judgement in the way I used to. Not over yet, presumably our team even at their high salarys could find work elsewhere if there really wasn't any hope here. See you at AGM next year rhodi

Cheers Rhodi. I agree with you re burn rate but it could as you say be payment up front for studies, surely only explanation - better be. Jak seems an impressive guy maybe it was the price he demanded to stay in the face of other opps as his salary for a small bio is pretty obscene. What is scary about 'significant shareholder value' is this has been promised for ten years and always just around the corner with similar trials, tantalisingly close deals and yet nothing more then higher salaries, further fund raising, no deals etc. I guess the one positive for current team is that vrp may have folded a few years ago without them. As always I will hold but with retirement just around the corner I pray this comes good! Best to you rhodi and other holders

Thanks for letting us know that was your sale. Don't blame you, sadly I have far, far too much tied into this so will ride this to turnaround or total loss. Hope things turn around before you sell any more - you have been here for a long, long time and always positive .

agree with you all - not said like on other boards simply because the sp is down those writing below have been here for a long time and therefore we have heard it all before - first from cp and mw and now the new board - the only thing that has changed is their pay. The market cap grows every time there is dilution meaning the re-rate if it ever comes has to be ever more substantial for us lth to even break even. I know pharmas are long term plays but that is not what they have said either in written form or at the agms I have attended. Always on the brink. I will be here to the end and I guess we have to be careful as JAK is the only game in town but for the life of me if this is a wonder drug why not save vrps scarce resources on salaries and take more share options - I hope the answer is not as obvious as it seems. Good morning all. I don't go with any conspiracy theory and I have no game to play here as a lth who has lost a lot of money and will stay invested here. As I have said before if this is the wonder drug it is described to be why has no pharma come in for it? There may have been significant investment recently but money is peanuts to the institutions who have invested, just a risk/reward calc - some they'll win, many more they'll lose. Not dropping so to fill their boots on purpose just no prosper to of results for many, many months so so will drop. For us or at least some of us it may be a painful lesson. No matter whether as informed as timbo on advfn or relatively amateur like myself we are all an arm's lengths so don't really know what prospects for this drug is. What really ****8s me off are the high salaries. We need every penny from the horrifyingly diluting share issues and the board should be paid mainly in shares so as to share in the risk. I am still hopeful and I have given up saying we will know soon. Good luck to us all

Agree totally. Relatively small volume sales so PIs so nothing sinister at all - been in this far too long to bale out now but you do have to wander as surely there must be enough science/data out there now to evaluate whether this is the winner it is described as and I hope the current sp is effectively not the answer to that question. LTH, not selling but please just for once in all the years I have held this share can I check sp just once in am and see a surprise very substantial rise as has always been promised. Good to see some decent US research out on VRP. no point in worrying about daily movements this drug will either prove itself or it won't be differentiated enough in the market to be taken forward. I still think if the informal soundings coming out of the trials is right and we get the right delivery method we could still be on the receiving end of a out of left field bid. I have been saying this since I first invested in this share way back in primary schoool! Gl all

From the very start WC has clearly been after some easy entertainment. For the life of me I never know why anyone responds as that is what he/she wants. These are meaningless boards just a bit of interesting fun, no one even the better informed knows what happens at board level so don't let him or anyone else wind you up. I did buy at a high price and the comments below are to be pitied nothing else. Let's hope we all have some luck in the years to come here and the best way to deal with wc is to ignore him/her/them - they'll soon move to another board
