A lot of hot air over these share options. If the BoD can deliver a sustained £1 share price then we'll all be laughing. If they don't, they won't get anything. At that point AVO would have a £330m mcap and be a very significant business. Each to their own but I think it's madness to bail out now, when the company appears to be on the cusp of delivering what it's been working on for many years. Perhaps I'm inured to this from being an AFC shareholder - similar story: missed deadlines; contracts/MoUs announced but never referred to again; very poor investor comms; promising the earth but never delivering. And yet now they are just coming good they are now just about at the point of commercialisation. Their message - delivering this kind of disruptive technology is HARD and never runs completely smoothly.

Another small piece of evidence for the excellent potential for AlkaMem, good stuff. In response to the post about whether AFC can compete with a long list of industrial giants in this field, the point is that AFC would only be providing the membrane, not trying to muscle into alkaline electrolysis itself. IF AlkaMem can be used in these other companies eletrolysers then the size of the opportunity is vast.

£1.3m now raised in the last week at 10p. Votes of confidence in the company and an indication that the SP must surely rise in the coming months.

Good value here at this price, IMHO. EV of c$315m, EBITDA of $35-38 so trading on EV/EBITDA of less than 9. Cash-generating and a safe haven in the Covid world. Potential for growth via M&A as well as organically.

The placing was more or less inevitable given the number of exploration targets the company now has - much drilling in Oz and Zambia still to take place. That and the paucity of alluvial income this year and the delay in getting Manica HR to be income-generating. Now that it's out of the way, though, I hope for a steady increase in SP over the next few months as progress is made on a number of fronts.

SP now c34p - what the hell is going on here? I can't see any significant sign that Sustainable is selling down in large quantities. Mali now more stable. POG still around 1860. Getting really frustrated with this downward spiral.

I thought it was quite an upbeat report today, despite the lack of anything new. Management seem pleased with progress or else are just putting a good spin on it. Key for me is to understand when in 2021 we might see the fully operational system and have first patient treatment. I understand they don't want to be a hostage to fortune by firming up on dates too much but come on - will it be broadly Q1 or Q4??

McPhy have plenty of shares in issue, approx 70% of which are free float. Profit taking wouldn’t be unusual but remember they rose to their current value simply because they were woefully undervalued compared to ITM and NEL, although somewhat behind both in terms of development.

The company won’t arrive at the October Investor Day without anything new to say. I think there’ll be plenty going on now at Daresbury and elsewhere.

Exactly, RobinHood, who knows? You're right to urge caution, I'm just trying to provide a counterpoint to your points, where I believe stock markets could (COULD) do just fine. US stock markets are close to all time highs but European ones (and especially the UK) are some way off. Second COVID national lockdowns are by far the biggest threat in my view. The FTSE is at 6000 and not its previous 7400 precisely because of the view the market is currently taking of these things.

Good RNS - re-commitment to expected year end position, the acquisition bedding in very well. The only slight negative for me is lack of any meaningful increase in subscriber numbers.

Very pleased with the RNS today and can't quite believe the SP reaction. Look at the detail: EUS delivering EBITDA of >£1m. The EUS average fee is holding up well - 0.64% compared to 0.68% last year. Recommitment to the £2bn year-end expectation (and exponential growth thereafter), which at 0.64% fee would deliver an extra £8m of revenue and additional cash profits of >£4m in H2. Overall that will lead to a positive net income of several £m after DA etc. No need for further cash raises. Vastly increased engagement with Bango Audiences, that are now moving starting to be used not just by app developers. A number of moves beyond Bango's traditional markets (e.g. adoption in bricks and mortar retailing) and indications that Bango is moving beyond just mobile commerce. Still work to do, but I'm already looking forward to a further doubling of EUS next year, by which point we should be seeing annual revenue of £24m+ on a very flat cost base.

On the other hand - US elections priced in; Brexit deal could still happen; COVID-19 vaccine could emerge. Three big reasons for markets to surge. Two ends of the spectrum, which is more likely?

Rambo, I’ve not seen any info on how long it takes to build a complete machine, other than Thales was to be contracted to build eight per year some time ago. Who knows if they are still in the picture? I can wait for that, it’s getting to a tested, signed off machine that will be the catalyst for a re-rating. Your points about a lack of timescales for this are well made. It’s very frustrating, though I can imagine they don’t want to over-commit on this. Soooo many questions still.

Fair comment Rambo though first patient treatment is now at Daresbury, so the boxing /unboxing etc not such an issue.

Good to know the components are mostly on site or else being manufactured “in line with the operational plan”. Last we heard, it’s Q1 first-treatment so can we assume that’s still the plan? I’m not so bothered about Harley Street yet, the action has switched to Daresbury. Oh well, back to sleep until the Investor Day.

Take out out the cash and you have an EV of £33.7m. That's still just about 7.5x underlying earnings (annualised). Seems well run in H1 and well positioned for when Covid retreats. Acquisitions (and itself being bought out) add further reason to hold and top-up, IMO.

I normally only post when there's something happening but the continual bashing of AB and the BoD has got my goat. Look at the other hydrogen companies - are they pushing out comms every week? No. Are their CEOs accused of riding the gravy train? No. So why is AB accused of being useless, sitting around just collecting his pay check? If anyone its the Chairman people should be having a go at - he's the one who should be wise to any guff being spouted by his executive team, or is he on the gravy train too? Most people seem to feel he plays a straight bat. The wait for news and the continual downward SP movement is excruciating, we all know that, but for God's sake, stop bleating about nothing and either support your company or sell out.
