I think the deal will involve the specific TaG mABs rather than AvidiMab and will be the start of a commercial partnership involving an exclusive licence.

I have to say what a pleasure to be on this board.I am in many of the Covid test plays and in the main their BBs are clogged up with people worried sick about “ the competition” and full of despair and Boom.
They don’t understand the space.Any good posts get drowned out by the sheer dross whereas here it is generally good.
This is what you get when a CEO like CF is constantly informing SH of progress and intentions.Rather than speculate and argue about false hopes and risks we can just enjoy posting and yes raise questions but worry only about how much we may be able to see Genome database /Immutex and which next top tier pharma or Covid Vax player are we going to announce a deal with

Passer.Absolutely you can tell he is excited about the future here.
When you put in £2.5m or half his net worth in a venture however promising there must be the odd scintilla of doubt in his mind.Therefore when the contracts rolled in and the utter bonus of Covid and finding the hidden gems he inherited then he would be excited and relieved.
Throw in things like the Pfizer phone call out of the blue and interest of Apple,Google etc and you can see how much it means to him.
He is an expressive guy and open to SH and means a lot to him to take them with him and enjoy the success.
Do not underestimate this is his moment and he was a great success at Amryt and he is really looking forward to the next few months as we all should.
But the staff will have a different perspective.Yes they will probably be rewarded but of course SH just move onto the next share whereas moving onto the next job is not as easy.
One of the risks here is the loss of key folk but yes you can tie many of these in but he does recognise the need not to talk too much about selling the business within a few months as this will hardly motivate the staff.

Passer of course he looked sheepish.He was in an open plan office with staff coming and going who have been through a jobs cull and some probably worried about the future.
The ORPH staff who need to stay motivated have a totally different perspective than SH regarding the timeline for the future.
CH knows this and has to be careful with the messages he gets across.

I posted before reading the excellent discussion you and others this morning on the matter.
My main points were the statement of CH saying we will do a deal and that the “ commercial value” of any deal may be less than the industry values he referred to.
This is when you have to trust CH in terms of value for the deal as the size of the deal depends on the exact details and the milestone s associated with it.
I just don't want anyone complaining that the up front payment is not as good as some other people as none of these deals us directly comparable.
Also imo it is more important to do a deal rather than the size if the deal.
In fact do not be surprised if little financial info is given as this is commercially sensitive and in particular you can set the bar with any first deal so if you accept a bit less to get a deal over the line as proof of concept you don’t want that to become the norm.
I know we are not talking lost leaders here but as I suspect it is the first collaboration then they would appear to have a good relationship and no name was mentioned but it may be the kudos associated with this deal could be worth a lot to SCLP.

Just watched the video again and CH defo refers to it being one of the existing “ collaborations” being under commercial discussion.
In answering the questions re size of deals he made great distinction between Avidmab platform and TaG MABs.butbthat they may been to clarify the question.
When he stated industry figures he specifically said these may not relate to the deal that SCLP will do.
This strongly indicates to me he is very confident of a deal being done and that is key to me getting first one over the line.Yes the final figure has not been agreed and may be short of the “ industry” figures that CH talked about but that is no matter to me as they are fully funded,the proof of getting that deal done is so important and I am confident after a long evaluation then any deal will still be decent in cash terms.
One other separate point I noticed is CH saying they were compelled to use electroporation in Combo trial but it is clear they see the future in nano and they have made great progress in that area

When I listened to CH last night I got the impression that the deal due in 1-2months was the one signed on Sept 4 th last Year.
I have reread the RNS but can’t see any reference to the Initial Agreement being fir one year as has been suggested.Just thought if we do nit hear anything next week it looks like confirmation to me that this collaboration is coming to fruition due to the length of time it has been in place.
Any other thoughts/ impressions.

Usain I am an old fashioned drugs guy but I can see the way it is heading.Wearables monitoring various symptoms then linked into a Healthcare Professional who can then use tell medicine for remote consulting.
This trend plus use of AI was a increasing one anyway but the whole pandemic has accelerated this enormously.You need data and that is what Orph are looking to sell
The bidders have a big need for this and deep pockets so let the fun begin.

Absolutely Mark I know that in US we have launched a system linked in to pets and wearables which monitors their heart rates and a whole host of other measurements of a pets health.This links to a Vets which then warns them and the owner that the pet needs further investigation.
Given that Veterinary lags behind human health and the fact that as one of largest pharma Companys in the world we see it as a central plank of the future I can easily join the dots here.
Overlay the likes of Amazon and Google who urgently want to get involved in the human health field and you can see the attraction.
Think of it a bit like an electronic warning light on your car as highlighting something that needs further investigation.

Excellent first post FTC and the points you make are insightful.
Yes Pfizer called him and I know from experience that Pfizer are hard nosed business people who are great at progressing Projects.
So once they decided to initiate and refocus on Vax with 3 major projects who did they trust to run their RSV trial ORPH and again having worked for and currently working for one of the Company’s that is currently using ORPH I know that to have the likes of a Pfizer approach you directly is a big feather in the cap.
Also the point about the Genome database and the interest and auction of likes of Google,Amazon,and others in this wearable space of personalised medicine which is a huge growth area and one in which data is king is another real bonus here.
Plus of course potential interest in Immutex as well as the likely fruition of all the Covid related HC studies plus the follow up RSV contracts.

You will find the CEO approach is different from other shares in that he has loads of skin the game,is much more fully aligned with SH and much more interested in communicating directly with SH.
His style is different but talks a much more direct way and that is because he is a entrepreneur rather than a scientist.
He really has delivered on his promises with great newsflow and what you see is what you get which personally is the way I like it

Agree Barwickman that he focus’s on direct SH concerns and imo that is how it should be but many bio pharma run by scientists act like politicians in not answering any difficult questions like about the SPand hide behind “Regukations” or waffle on about the minutiae of the science or simply ignore the question.
He is very aligned with SH and does actually deliver which again are huge differences with CEOs who use the vehicle to try and mislead SH.
He is also enthusiastic and confident which is exactly what SH want as to me anyone with a large investment should reflect these attributes but of course we should all be cognisant of any risks and not just take everything at face value.
But as long as CF keeps delivering I will keep on trusting him on what he says.

Yes I am in 3 of the shares presented last night and thought CF was most engaging presenter but in fairness the other 2 did very well.Big difference in approaches with CF focusing far more externally with SH and potential investors rather than others who focused more internally on their science.
Other investors thought their guy was the best which is not surprising given their particular interest but I do find CF refreshing in seeking to address issues like the SP and the wish to give full info like naming of big pharma etc.
Many investors don't fully understand the industry and CF explains things in a very clear relevant way and of course the news rev the database and potential cash dividend and announcing we will never need or raise again I find very reasssuring.
