Burble is probably best placed to comment about the input of research papers in this field but ime it is often the PhD scientists who do all the work and the more eminent scientists review and add their name for credibility.
You often have loads of names listed and they all make a contribution but that is not proportionate to their input.
I just meant SCLP innovation is heavily dependent on LD.
Yes Redmile/Vulpes do not run SCLP but they do largely control what happens strategically.Plus other aligned holders like Calculus etc.
I just do not see any huge wish by the BoD to stay “ independent” for decades to come and given age of BoD my personal view is if if someone made a £1-2 bid for the Company then I can’t see many holding out.
Plus if it was genuinely likely that it was going to become a multi billion dollar outfit then I think way before then someone would make a move.
Once over £100m market cap other funds can well start to build a position which would help drive the SP up but of course dilute control to a very small degree.
The future here could be very exciting based in continued positive data.

My simple tuppence worth is I moved on long ago and view anything we get back from here as a bonus as too many conflicting parties and too many gaps in knowledge to try and predict outcome here so I have just accepted it has gone.
Appreciate many here many have much larger amounts tied up and have not been able to move on so easily however feel for their own sanity everyone needs to decide or themselves on the best way to redress the situation re action and timing but some need to seriously discount the possibility that this is all about some bigger plan and that we are deliberately being kept like the proverbial mushrooms but without the BS on strict legal advice imo

No one is doubting the immense potential of the platforms here but just think you need to rein in some of the anticipated expectations.
1.First you have to generate deals/ data to get anything like true value.
2.SCLP will not do that on its own so for eg pay for phase 3 trials so yes SCLP will potentially receive huge milestone payments but the heavy lifting will be done by others.
3.Likes of Redmile/Vulpes/BoD are in complete control of future here and imo are likely to sell out either in total or more likely to monetise assets once proven up.
This will likely be at a much lower but nevertheless very healthy SP to some of the anticipated valuations on here giving SH an e trendily healthy return for both institutions and PIs.
4.How “ innovative “ is SCLP or is it essentially down to LD.Yes the IP has tremendous value but being so dependent on one person is much cheaper to buy and is a risk in itself.

As I say I do think the potential is really good here but talk of multiple and open ended licensing deals can only be fully achieved if it was the wish and within the gift of the BoD.
It is not and I don’t believe it is in any way part of an exit plan.
Only my thoughts as usual.

There are about 10-15 AIM stocks which I am in and probably double that which I am familiar with and I can say this is the only board where the “Science” or “ Technicals” of that Industry form the dominant subject matter on that board.
There are many technical experts in many of these shares and they do highlight technical aspects of the Company and its activities but they never debate it to the extent it is done here.

To me the main risk is a much more pragmatic one than the theory of the science that is will it repeat it’s efficacy and safety performance in humans as opposed to humanised mice.
Extrapolating any data from pre clinical to clinical studies is a risk in itself and once it has demonstrated the data in humans then that is a huge step forward.

Agree that real bonus with SCLP is the 3 different platforms and Covidity as an additional asset.
This not only considerably decreases the risk but increases potential reward by the “ multiple shots on goal”.As always the next step so “ proof of concept” which has happened with Immunobody in the clinic is critical so
1.SCIB 1 Combo dara.
2.Moditope in Clinic
3.First mAb deal.

Look forward to more progress in these platforms.
We know LD is a true inspiration and expert in the field but working in depth with different approaches probably helps her get a better understanding of how various approaches interact in the battle vs cancer

Honestly Inanaco you simply don’t get it.
I made the point my Biology “O” level was the last exam I failed and you take that as a sign of weakness and negativity whereas I take it as being of absolute no importance and a positive message as it means that the 100 plus exams I have taken since all at a higher level than “O”level I passed.
I know that you will call me “ egotistical” for stating that but honestly I can’t give a stuff about it but you always get the wrong end of the stick and still insist you are right.

If I thought Burble or BS or anyone posted something I disagreed with I would respond.

I do feel Inanaco if you only toned down your responses to be less confrontational you would personally gain a lot more from this BB.

Burble please do not stop posting and in fact imo there is no need fir an apology as the blame lies squarely at the feet of Inanaco.
The reality is Inanaco falls out with everyone and never admits he is wrong so you cannot possibly win an argument in his head.You May win the argument in everyone else’s view but does not matter as he will never admit it.
He is seriously asking every poster to choose who to believe a guy with no scientific qualifications or experience whatsoever but a huge ego vs a guy with proven expertise,working in the field and always demonstrates humility and modesty.
It seems a pretty clear choice to me.
Inanaco he has never sought to challenge you or take you down a peg or two as it is clear it not that important to him or anyone else.Whereas you are obsessed see with being “Head Poster” and see everyone as being a threat and when someone like Burble comes along who has clear superior and original knowledge you simply don’t like it.

This is really refreshing and informative.I really appreciate that you are writing the posts using your everyday language and in an original form in which your sincerity and knowledge comes to the fore.
This is important to me in that I can just take it as read and challenge/ ask for clarification if I felt the need to do so but as usual always prepared to accept an expert opinion if I feel they have no axe to grind.

Of course you allowed to change your mind.In fact to me it is a sensible course of action if circumstances change or news arrives. However some have such a fixed conviction positive and negative that does not allow for anyone to change their thinking.This intolerance and the need to be always right invariably means that debate is not allowed to flourish and when the SP falls it only heightens these tensions.
So stay polite and don’t worry too much about the discourse and be happy.

Like you can’t see any reason why you would not welcome any opportunity to listen to the CEO but each to their own.
He does lots of i/vs so there are other options but I do find he says different things each time and he does them to communicate to SH not to try and attract new ones as part of any planned placing.
Interesting if you look at his twitter people he follows they are mainly aimed at the investment community and I feel he try’s to u derstand how the market works better than many CEOs.

Very pleased for you and as I said at the time sometimes you win and sometimes you lose.You can only base your decisions,on your financial considerations and gut or planned entry and exit points.
With hindsight we are all great traders and investors and fear and greed influence us all but being emotionally attached to a share tends to exaggerate those emotions like FOMO which leads to less rational decision making.Plus a lot of luck.
But we’ll done as many more losers than winners in this game

Starting a new thread as don’t want whole lot to disappear as happened in previous occasions.
Absolutely I sold down here( about 9 months ago) at a modest profit.You criticised me for that and my decision to invest my SCLP proceeds in Avct at 20p.
My point is you should not criticise anyone’s investment decisions as it is their choice and certainly not with the benefit of hindsight.
As you can see from here you can make great gains but also you get retraces as well.
Some will see opportunities and some will take them.We all have different strategies and what works fir one may not work for another so best to follow the old advice better to be thought of as a fool than to open your mouth or put it down on paper to confirm it.
