Without looking closer at the RG remuneration in his final year it may be justified if it included for eg pension contributions etc and as I said am reasonably pleased with CH performance but JC is the main one I would question his contribution.

Agree re LD salary I would not begrudge her anything as she has achieved lots and sure she is driven by mainly non monetary reasons.
RG told me at last years AGM that it was important to recruit folk they already knew so as not to create tension in a small team.I am happy with that as long as they perform and the likes of CH( who generally speaking I like the way he has performed so far) and JC will be ultimately be determined by the commercial progress and the jury is still out.
If they don’t achieve this progress and I include a decent SP then the rewards given to them will be questioned re increases in salary rather than options and long term incentive plans.
Recruiting folk close to home is fine if it produces results but if tangible progress is not made it leaves them very open to criticisms of cronyism.

Up to now Georgia has been slow in development of EE & RE, but recently especially after the pledges by Georgian president at Cancun 2010 conference and Tbilisi joining the Covenant of Mayors, there is a visible trend towards development of these internal reserves. Adoption of RE & EE legislation would be a strong factor in support of developing these resources. Development of this resource offers the potential for cooperation in this field with neighboring countries who are facing the similar challenges.
Georgia continues to explore its oil & gas reserves. A new development of 21th century Shale Gas can become an additional and even most important source of energy. This potential resource needs to be evaluated and developed over a coming decade, however preliminary rough estimates indicate that in case of success the scale of the resource can be comparable to some most successful shale gas plays in the US.

What I mean by prudent is one of the prime responsibility’s of any BOD is to ensure they can secure enough cash moving forward to complete the planned R&D.
We know they will need more money sometime in 2019 and yes that money may come from a deal but the BOD must ensure they have a Plan B so hence the need to increase headroom.This is the prudent move.
I am not saying they will raise at current levels and in fact made the point that they will need good news like CRUK Grand Challenge and obviously that will be known before they need to raise at a considerably higher SP.
If they did not have the necessary headroom then this Avenue would it be available to the BOD and therefore be totally dependent on another route.
This situation would put SCLP in a weaker negotiating position in this matter imo

Thanks Boom.We know their cash position is not bat ATM and that they will need to raise at some stage in 2019 to complete planned trials and it is prudent to have the headroom even if they are confident of a deal in near term.Personally don’t expect anything for current range but possible for some of newer planned areas of interest and pipeline similar to CRUK and BioNTech partnerships.
Am planning on going to AGM now the date is announced as want to assess face to face their intentions and confidence in moving forward

Does the headroom request reflect previous AGM resolutions and know they state no near term plans for raise but would be looking for some really good news flow to get the SP up if they are planning significant dilution.

Guys asked me about significance of a global deal.This is not to say it will happen but why it could be important.
If it is a global deal then it is very likely to be a global pharma and that means a big player with deep pockets and easily able to pay top dollar.These kind of deals usually materialise at quite a late stage in Approval process as they want minimum risk and are prepared to pay a premium.
We know MTFB has ready access to all the major players in this space.
A global deal will much more attractive commercially for a number of reasons.
1.They have much more money in the kitty of these type of deals.
2,They will be much more strategic in nature hence much more interested in long term for both ABSSSI and HABP.
3.Aligned to the above the extension of patent period to 2037 and the QIDP status are extremely valuable as their main issue is how much protection from generics these products have.
4.The size and strength of the commercial arms of these type of Companys is that they are in a much better position to sell loads of Iclaprim.
5.Big benefit to MTFB is it virtually absolves them of any cost in setting up a commercial operation.

As much of big pharma has abandoned their own AB pipelines there is a vastly reduced supply and yes from a commercial viewpoint the AB space is not as atttractive but the marketing strategy and positioning of Iclaprim has always been about not competing with cheap ABs.
So we know some big pharma are still interested in new ABs and of course there may be much greater kudos to be gained from launching a new novel AB.It may also give them access to other treatments in their PF via the hospital authorities.
Of course big pharma will already have good contact with the key Iclaprim targets and will have the expertise to commercialise the economic model that is so important in the development of a Iclaprim.
So that it is why I am happy to be patient and evaluate what deals may or may not be on the table.
As GL told me you only get one shot so make it a good one- the same logic applied to the NDA delay and that as a correct decision.

MTFB have stated their preferred US option is to partner with Company already in hospital space but non AB or a similar type of Company to MTFB for eg PRTK.
I don’t know how they are going to market possibly do it themselves but at AGM I spoke tonGL about partnering with likes of PRTK.His response was to highlight difficulty of a partnership of say MTFB and PRTK both due to launch within a similar time frame re split of commercial support and to different customers so I took that as meaning preferred option was to go with a Company already in hospital space.
Would also explain lack of recruitment of MSLs etc by MTFB.
Or of course a global deal which would negate need to recruit in advance.
As talks will be well advanced they will pretty much know the state of lay of options.
My understanding is that GK will be at Jeffferies in Nice bee and I will hope to meet up and get a better feel for things which along with the known news at that stage should enable a fair prognosis of the direction they will tske

It was never my original intention to stay heavily invested dur8ng all the p3 trials as I knew there would be little news until results.At first the SP went up with news and that was fine as limited number of shares but once all shenanigans and institutional involvement and inevitable need to raise money Then the SP became moribund and I realised GL is much more focused on MC rather than SP and took a much longer term view.
I always thought the downside was limited and upside could be long term and equally wanted to sell a few on R1 results as knew it would come back and I could then buy in again lower but I was tied up in Meetings that day and missed the spike.
In the absence of a global deal/early decent monetisation it will be a very good long term hold and although I may keep a few in after having a large amount tied up for the last 3.5years I will probably move most if it elsewhere for more near term opportunity’s.

Yes peer comparisons are useful but guess this close to Approval and the anticipated levels of sales they should be able to get a much closer valuation which as you say is way undervalued.
The global deal is the real biggie imo as it negates any funding requirements re HABP/ commercialisation and will likely lead to a much higher uptake.
Still hoping to get a meet possiby in November to get a much better steer in likely events

Kelsbells I think after being invested here for so long and the ups and downs I would definitely be looking to take quite a few off the table at around the £1 mark.
However the real determinant of what I do will be based on what news is announced in the next few months and especially if I am able to have a good discussion with GL about a number of areas principally about the commercialisation plans moving forward and the anticipated sales progress and forecasts.
I almost am totally derisked from not getting Approval so am not worried about whether Iclaprim will get to market it is about the speed and extent of how soon and how they will commercialise.
It us also about the SP movement prior to February.
After 4 years on AIM I have learned a lot about how it operates and am much less inclined to tie up the amount of money I have here based on fundamentals alone.
I have always been confident here to recognise the market does not always value progress in the same way I thought it would so it is much better to take profit when available rather than hold out for the mega rise.
Also I just want to be a successful investor etc and not really about the money so don’t want to be too greedy.
I will probably hold a few for longer term but no guarantees and until I get a better feel for US commercialisation pathway I will hold fire.
Still think there is a chance of a global deal and that will be best of all but will need to be patient for that but the clues will be there in next 2 months

Yes Omadacycline is a Tetracycline derivative or officially Omadacycline is a broad spectrum antibiotic belonging to the aminomethylcycline subclass of tetracycline antibiotics.
So is closely related to an existing class of ABs which have resistance so yes is novel in some ways but not like Iclaprim which is only DHFR at this stage in process.
Thus could be issues of cross resistance and PRTK are targeting it as an AB to be used in resistant cases which Iclaprim is not.
As you say PRTK has a much larger market cap but very hard to compare 2 directly.
What we know is MTFB is very undervalued hence institutional interest.We are fast approaching Approval and a rerate soon enough.
It is also clear to me that MTFB will not partner likes of PRTK due to both wanting to launch in early 2019.
