If approved for the ABSSSI indication as a New Chemical Entity, iclaprim will be eligible for 10 years of market exclusivity in the U.S., with a similar deal anticipated to take place in Europe.
The company is also building a patent estate for its iclaprim product, including its use to treat patients with bacterial infections, hospital-acquired bacterial pneumonia, and Staphylococcus aureus lung infections in cystic fibrosis patients.
The company’s experienced board has a strong track record in financing and operating pharmaceutical and biotech products, and have been delivering on its stated objectives since IPO. Listed on both AIM and NASDAQ, its institutional shareholding includes Invesco Ltd ($980.9 billion AUM), M&G Investments (£351bn AUM), Sand Grove Capital ($1.202 billion AUM) and Amphion Innovations (AMP).
