As I say purely my thoughts but MTFB are in lockdown and of course there is always the chance of an unknown query but all the evidence to my eye points to everything being on track and so far MTFB record is e tremeky good in terms of achieving all their scientific objectives so far

I don’t think they would have many questions to answer given the close co operation between MTFB and the FDA.
Last time with the Arpida AdComm most of the questions were related to why they did not follow FDA advice so there will be none if these this time.
There were no deaths in either Iclaprim group so again that would remove a few questions on specific patients.
Use of Covance would ensure that trial recruitment and choice of centres should be fine.
So questions will likely be around any commonality amongst the SAEs but don’t recall anything specific certainly no nephro toxic issues and think enhanced CTc prolongation was OK.
May be some CMC questions but Iclaprim very stable and they produced the trial material from “old” api( active pharmaceutical ingredient) and the CMO(Contract Manufacturing Organisation ) would have been carefully chosen.
No disputes about achieving clinical endpoints and no Add Comm request so don’t think any serious safety or efficacy queries will be raised.
More likely to be specifics over exact labelling but purely me postulating.
The fact GL was in London in November and December speaking to institutions presumably bM&G who were still buying a lot more tells me most queries would have been satisfactorily answer by then.
However must stress this are purely my thoughts and everyone must decide for themselves what to do.

1.M&G now 9.1% so 80% increase in number of shares since interview.
2.As GL said they will have answered the FDA review questions.As there has been no Add Comm they could really focus on choosing the best commercial option

Yes Crumbs although he says he does not have the inside track his view is an informed one with a much higher degree of authenticity than anyone else imo

I really think a great boon to have someone of his insight posting in an honest and straightforward manner so that we can listen to a true informative and balanced expert who can make a unique contribution to the debate

Since history is a useful means to interpret the present with a view to extrapolating the future perhaps we are now in a position to decide who is likely to be more realistic in their projection of the story to come.

As you say understanding the history can lead to a better understanding and ability to predict the future.Obviously as things change like the announced partnerships then that influences the future and needs to be taken into account.

Like ONW I love history and it repeats itself with remarkable consistency.People who called it wrong all those years ago are more likely than others to continue making bad calls than people who have the nous and humility to accept their mistakes,move on and consider that others considered view may offer a better insight.
The old adage if you always do what you will always fine then you will usually get what you have always got.A surprising number of people can’t seem to understand that relatively simple concept and okay athe price accordingly

Of course history is important.
If you were told something face to face 4 years ago by someone and you find out by a candid post from another BOD member that perhaps you were being lied to.You may not be in a hurry to trust them again.
Anyone who ignores history is very likely have a poor prognostic view of the future imo

Had a really good chat with him at 2015 AGM and thought he was very straight forward.
Like many I did not like the way he dealt with questions on “ funding” that were asked by others but give him much credit for being so candid.
As he says he is out of the loop and encouraged by the current partnerships and of course think he still has £400k of shares so he has a large investment here and his views are well worth listening to as several points are just as relevant today.
Yes the science has moved on but as we well know the science is only part of the picture and the non clinical aspects are just as relevant as to where we are today

Much more valuable insight than any BOD member talking about in a Pro active I/v and much appreciate his views.
The fact that we’ll respected posters like Bermuda chime very much with what he says indicates that he will tap into a wide audience of interested share holders.The ones that appreciate a balanced unbiased view which is an attitude shared by all

Yes good wins for us both.
I know you don’t like that site but when you have 2 posts from an ex BOD member who would know what actually happened-I have no reason to doubt who he is-I just think it may be prescient to listen to what he has to say.
His insight is much more valuable by far than any individual poster as it is based on expertise,experience and an inside view of where we actually are likely to stand.
All other comments are pure speculation in comparison imo

I know that some on here do not like that site but an extremely candid post from DE giving the inside track to attempts by SCLP to sell the science back in 2014.
It highlights many of the issues facing SCLP and is a reality check as to some of the difficulty’s we face here and I am so keen to progress one of the trials and produce real data as without it we will be largely ignored.

Also hope it was a Freudian slip they said that Georgia had no natural gas 20 years ago do indinuatesctgey have some now lol
