My question is as some humanised Antibodies including monoclonal seem to have efficacy at neutralising the Covid 19 virus can the SCLP approach be adapted from Cancer to virus,s

I am absolutely not making any political point at all as I feel unless you have faced the choices that Violin dog has faced then I simply am not informed enough to make a complete decision.

Think 8p is a floor with share options and also Vulpes small sells.Would have thought Vulpes would want lower and maybe the sells were an attempt to choke off any rise post Covid Vax rather than a crass attempt to sell into any rise which makes no sense to me unless it was a “ mistake” or some other unrelated reason.Guess if Vulpes want it lower and of course there does not seem any huge appetite to buy above 8p then the likelihood is it will be lower.But of course all depends on news and how convincing SCLP are as to how the money will be spent.The Covid Vax “ funding” is crucial as that is the real hot area ATM so if they can convince folk to put money into the project I am nit too worried about the raise price as like many others it will go up afterwards.Whether the BoD decide to buy in any raise again can effect any SP reaction but based on past promises which have not been kept Re timings then until more news some folk will remain sceptical

Will be interesting if you are right as often the SP does rally before a raise and as you say without a big sell at 8p and I assume the 600k was a buy his are the MMs going to fill it with all the other buys.
8p is a floor with options and Diggle sells so let us wait and see.
Also would be a good time to raise given pharma sentiment but who knows .

I know enough about the approach that SCLP is taking makes a lot of sense in terms of fighting Covid 19 and again a good idea to aim for 2nd generation to cope with mutations / induce memory and give longer immunity etc.
It is likely that some of other Vax approaches will get there first but does not mean there is no place for SCLP as we will likely need a lot of different Vax and approaches.
The fact that SCLP is later to the party means imo that any funding is more likely to be better validated as it means they are not just throwing money at it.A commercial endorsement even better.
I am just trying to separate out this from the other SCLP work which we know will require funding at some time soon.Appreciate that other things maybe on hold due to Covid 19 but still would be nice to get an update anyway as we want to make sure they dont just reinforce an impression of simply moving on to another area of work.

I asked LD that specific question a few years ago re the possibility of using Immunobody for other non cancer purposes such as virus,s.
Her reply and this would be 4 years ago was that it probably could but their specific focus was oncology and hence not targeting other targets.
It is a platform so can normally used for other relevant areas.
I really think it is not to do with inventing an opportunity it is about looking to provide a specific valuable approach to contribute to fight a global crisis abd at a time when much of their other work is probably on hold.
The work of other Nottingham experts and involvement is evidence if that approach imo

Looed is interesting as FRR sponsored the Warsaw Summit a few years back that involved AC but I thought odd at the time
