You guessed it. Im back and the 'auto' has sold 117 shares into the remaining 156 - leaving 39 shares !! You couldn't make this up. They really really don't want to knock out the 34.75 bid level (make buying cheaper), but equally they do want to encourage selling! Talk about desperately trying to create an illusion. IG

Haha - the jokers have now sold 469 of the 625 leaving 156 shares! IG

So, since 12 oclock or so there was 10k sat on the bid at 34.75, everyone with L2 access could see that. The first DMA auto sell (at 1:46) hit 7.5k leaving 2.5k. They wanted to give the appearance of 'last chance to sell before the price drops' they are trying to encourage us to sell. Now, an auto has sold 1,875 of those 2.5k. Still leaving 625 shares. Selling smaller amounts but leaving some there. So contrived and so obvious. IG

My take on the trading today is that the manipulator appears to have reached their target and is holding the sp there. They have the usual large number of silly small trades sat of the ask to create the impression of a ceiling. However, the 2 times they have dropped these to 35p, they have been quickly gobbled up by our patient accumulator autos. And the seller has recoiled to 35.5. As I type, they have been dropped to 35p again - will be interesting to see if they are gobbled up again. IG

I'm still quietly ticking up :-) 313376 shares now. New peak holding for me by 500 shares. Feeling very confident today. IG

An offer will obviously boost the sp. Aviva might be happy to take 75p or shares in the offering company if that's an option or else they would just be happy to see the sp rise and take a chunk of interest on the loaned shares to boot. Win win. JMO. IG

My thinking is that there has been quite a hefty cost to pushing the sp down here. And there is a cost simply to keeping it down here. They need to actively supress every rally. It's being done in a relatively professional and organised way - stacking the ask - all via the same DMA but with lots of trades showing (simply there for show and to fool any algos). Just as the flasher trades on L2 and exercising silly amounts of warrants that they could just as easily sell. Clearly this is worthwhile (spending a few hundred thousand is irrelevant when you're talking about an aggressive takeover offer of �200mill) but there is zero benefit in waiting any longer than they have to. Obviously this in entirely my opinion. IG

PS: Not starting any rumours but .... I bet a pot noodle that Sandgrove heard a whisper about an offer being tabled! And Aviva were understandably happy to loan shares to help orchastrate this - win win for them.

Looking at L2, they are stacking the ask as usual. Still stinks of trying to keep a lid on the sp. I sense they have achieved their target price - now am expecting the offer to come in (in the next 10 days). It's like the reverse of a pre-placing rise. My bets are for an offer of about �200mill / 75p per share. And my 315k shares will vote - hell no! IG

The manipulators are all on their own now. The only sellers are the autos and they are clearly struggling. Like swimming upstream. Can see a short squeeze on the cards over the next few sessions. Crazy games - for a big prize. The next week or so will be very interesting IMO IG

Just realised that I had unwittingly spotted the exercise of warrants a day early - I reported yesterday that the share base had weirdly risen by 200k shares on reuters and couldn't explan why. One to remember for future! IG

I wouldn't accept that 60p either - but the further they drop the SP, the more who might. Hence the potential for a hostile bid. This interest to manipulate here only makes sense because the prize is huge. The only ones who will benefit will be those who have weathered the storm and still hold. Best of luck IG

I agree entirely. This looks more and more like it's being forced down to make a bid appear better. At 50p per share who would accept a low ball offer of 60p. But now, 60p looks more appealing. Hostile takeover within weeks imo Many will get locked out when this happens. Hence I'm not selling a single share. IG

shityeah! What a shocker. All that profit up in smoke (for now) So depressing seeing the sp drip down every day. Really miserable. When this turns, remind me to really enjoy every moment of the daily rises! IG
