gogetter, this may be a blessing in disguise. EDR will lodge an appeal which will take months, success late 2022 or early 2023. In the meantime, they can concentrate on the Wressle trio, Keddington, Waddock Cross, etc, there's plenty to get on with and quite honestly I feel it's unlikely they would make any meaningful progress at NK this year even if they had planning in their pocket. 2023 may be a better time to develop NK having built up huge cash reserves.

gwynwin, I believe vernetles is referring to the £2.08m owed to Calmar which DB stated would be repaid early (1st March). So whilst UJO is technically debt free as the Calmar payment is not due until Wressle is formally in production, UJO does actually have a debt to Calmar.

I'm struggling to see NK as a big deal with or without planning. They havent progressed in 7 years, I have no confidence that a 1 year extension will result in any development. edr appears to have more projects than it can handle, perhaps they have been held back by finances in which case Wressle may give them the cash to advance all their projects. If they can secure a 1 year extension, perhaps the JV would be better off selling the pedl and concentrating on waddock, keddington, the wressle trio, and of course bisc.

heid you may be right about $300 but I'm sure DB (like most of us) would rather have $100 and peace in Ukraine, there's more to life than making money

of course it wont be published, it a dossier of potentially criminal activity that has been passed to the FCA for further investigation. The FCA is notoriously slow hence UJO engaging professionals to do all the work for them was a masterstroke. If DB had simply written to the FCA demanding an investigation, the letter would still be in someone's in-tray, by the time they looked at the issue some of the evidence would be gone. It's likely we will only know more if and when the FCA arrest someone, but dont hold your breath.

don't underestimate the self interest of councillors. my feeling is the application for WN-B will pass but I have doubts about WN-A. Hopefully the council will see sense, perhaps even be under pressure from central government to pass both?

Egdon has had this site for over 7 years, the site is a farmers field about 300 yards from a country road. Despite several planning extensions EDR has not even built an access road in that time. EDR has numerous other projects to progress but clearly wants to keep NK on the back burner, surely the JV would be better off selling the site as there is clearly no firm plan to progress NK in the near future and I have no doubt we will be experiencing deja vu for planning in another 12 months. At best EDR will lay an access road.

Lincolnshire CC has added a Committee Report dated 14.03.2 to planning application PL/0167/21 which means a decision will be made on Monday 14th. It recommends permission is granted (despite a huge number of objections mostly using climate change as the reason but actually more about nimbyism imo)

Recommendation:
Following consideration of the relevant development plan policies and the comments received through consultation and publicity it is recommended that conditional planning permissions be granted.

novacyt has the authority for a buyback, it was in the AGM notes, I think a modest buyback would be a very good idea, perhaps 10% of the shares. Let's face it, they seem to be incredibly short on concrete ideas as to how to utilise the cash pile, just vague comments about expanding, R&D etc. Will there ever be a better time for a buyback when the sp is on its knees? (well, perhaps next week when it's fallen another 20% !!!)

have any of the companies in dispute with the DHSC threatened or started legal proceedings? we have been told for 14 months ncyt has a strong case yet the negotiations continue (apparently). if the previous ceo and especially the current ceo truly believe what they have said in numerous RNSs, it's time to sue the DHSC (or am I being naive)

Luckily I sold all my shares yesterday as I get nervous when a company is overdue with a trading update, it suggests to me they are spending time working out how to spin news, plus of course the sp has had a very good run recently so the update was going to have to be very good just to keep those gains. Good medium term upside imo but happy to watch from the sidelines at the moment

I have been watching odx in recent days to determine if it's worth investing after the huge fall. The open offer expires on Monday, I suspect take-up will be very low bearing in mind that the sp has fallen below the offer price. Assuming the open offer is a flop, to what extent will a £2m shortfall effect odx's plans? thx.
