"The oil price is not the issue, its credibility, that's why it's stuck in the mud", it's hard to currently disagree with that pov but in the coming months revenue will trump negative sentiment and the sp will rise like a phoenix from the ashes :)

whilst $140 may be good news for UJO's revenue, the effect on the economy will be a drag on growth as well as fuelling inflation. Inflation means a higher base rate and probably a stronger £ against the dollar (it's interesting that you never mention the exchange rate) thereby reducing the sterling revenue. You may well be right but imo you come across as salivating - if not gloating - at the prospect of $140 oil when there's more at stake than UJO's sp.
RE: trying to make sense of the drop28 Jan 2022 15:36
why you ask, because the sp is at rock bottom, in fact not too far from cash value, surely there will never be a better time for a buyback? unless of course the sp continues to drop :(
well over 4 months since UJO's Wressle RNS, surely the CPR should drop soon? "Leading energy consultancy, Gaffney Cline & Associates ("GaffneyCline") commissioned by Union Jack to prepare an updated Competent Persons Report"
DB was quite smart in his approach, if he had simply written to the FCA demanding an investigation, they are likely to have done nothing, whereas providing them with a well investigated and detailed dossier they are far more likely to take the allegations seriously. all imo of course
micky, looking at the FCA website, they only name people once arrested and charged, it seems they do not comment on investigations in any way, my guess is we will only know names if anyone is charged.
"When do you think we will be given the results of the leak enquiry?"
I dont think we will be given the results, they will be given to the FCA in order for the FCA to potentially start criminal proceedings. At best we will have an RNS confirming that the dossier is complete and has been passed to the FCA .
I think we would all like to see more of our our PEDLs drilled but are we not at the mercy of EDR? they did a great job with Wressle although (correct me if I'm wrong) it was actually Slumberger that got the oil flowing in the end.
