Thanks for prompt info Hawke - I have been neglecting Genl recently by focussing on my flatlined GKP disaster.
Nobody seems to want anything to do with Kurdistan, so I guess we all have to muddle along until the PSCs expire and get returned to the tribals.

Is or has Genel ever been seriously up for sale ?
I have a feeling that the MNR are blocking any sale of GENL, GKP or DNO as we minnows are all easier to control compared to Big Oil ?

If push comes to shove over acceptance of the FDP - could always liquify the gas if it is of suitable composition and tanker it out for incountry or export sales - but that would need investment in compressors etc.
Have a nagging feeling that Genel and DNO would love to sell their PSCs and get outatown too - strange how nobody is able to, so I reckon the MNR is the common denominator ?

Very valid points, but basically the BOD are now way too aloof to address the concerns of minority shareholders.

Not too concerned about this latest overdue monthly - it will be safely languishing in someone of influence's private numbered account until the last possible moment.
Once the full storey of what has really gone on behind the sources of the rulling class's horrendous wealth - I fear the retribution from the honest population who have been made to feel like fools and exist on starvation and broken promises for generations - will be ruthless and incisively thorough.

I fear that they are at this moment piecing together their next award scheme, and are way too busy to jot down even any minor recent achievements and issue an RNS to justify their existence.

Your guess is as good as mine - but none of these justify this silence which forces us to make wild speculations around what is happening within our company and prolongs the disasterous SP.

I think we can safely predict that any threat of an agreement is another false dawn to calm the angry population for a while longer.

Let's assume all current monies at bank will be diverted to the buyback binge.
The old + new borrowings will be needed as a buffer to underwrite the protracted development plan should they ever actually come to pass..
Obviously we are therefore not, repeat not sold as new buyer wouldn't have allowed such lunacy.

Huge pressure here to drive sp down to reflect only cash we have at bank.
Rumours of recoverable OIP and the current infrastructure we have installed and paid for are seen as unsubstantiated lies, or at best - worthless it would appear.

All this bean counting to the n'th degree is just dandy - as a layman I have only two concerns however.
Firstly - buyback of shares will never be a benefit to us LTHs unless they are deleted from the books. I think we all have begun to realise that they will instead be dished out as bonuses to the BOD bods for achieving Whatever they define as their next industry shattering achievements..
Secondary - Sod the pathetic dripping roast dividend scenario ( it will be suitably manipulated at each of their share bonus award times to offset our horror at just how much they are giving themselves). Get this damned albatross sold while some of us are still alive and kicking.
